If you've ever wondered how I ended up at my positions on COVID/vaccine mandates (which I'm well aware come across extreme to some), this was my journey...

I went along with all early on. General lockdown seemed over the top, but I did my part and complied without issue. 🧵

Thankfully, I'm in Florida and our restrictions faded back to a reasonable level quickly. I wore masks when required (everywhere early on), understood things were shuttered, did my best to support local businesses, paid my staff ​full while trying to keep things running, etc.

I even washed my hands more than usual and was a freak with hand sanitizer. I used paper towels to grab gas nozzles and door handles. All of this is not usually my style.

Despite it all, my 2yr old son popped positive for COVID...

We took him to doc on a Monday, not thinking COVID. He was just general sick, if I recall. By Tues night he was mega sick!

I held that little guy for damn near 48 straight hours while he burned up at 102 and coughed green stuff all over face. He was in a bad way. Needed his Dad.

My daughter would go on to get sick and test positive the next day, my wife tested positive by week's end. I too got sick, but never went for a test. I just operated as if I had it, as I figured I couldn't have been exposed higher.

And we moved on.

At the time, vaccines were a cool thing. We were all excited about Operation Warp Speed and that vaccines would soon be out. Politicians low to high to even include Biden himself commented that of course they'd never be mandated. I never really even thought about it at the time.

Then there was a shift. All of a sudden (without any shift in official/public discourse or global science) the talk became about mandates.

And to my absolute shock at the time, this talk about mandates included not one word about natural immunity.

Whoa! Wait a sec...

COVID-19 is a coronavirus. We've studied these viruses in labs. We know a lot about them. We know how our body's response protects against future infection. We know from rounds w/ things like SARS/MERS that vaccines are no godsend. NI is the path out.

We've know this before C19.

But all of a sudden decades of known science is in the shitter while I'm being bludgeoned to trust The Science.

Something's not right. 🚨

To date, no one has explained why NI is not factored in our mandates. Many Euro countries do. Feasibility? Do you deny natural immunity?

They've never given an answer, because they've never had to. How can people be losing their jobs and half our society turned rabid when you havent even answered this basic question?!?

Is the dismissal of NI another "noble lie" like masks early on? Then own that! We deserve that.

And then I watched it become politicized and citizens (who also had no answer for the NI question and still don't!) become foaming at the mouth in sanctimony and using it as a weapon against The Unvaccinated. Some of the things said, I'll never forget. I lost respect for many.

And things have only gotten worse since then. From fabricated junk science by the CDC to minimize NI and sell shots, to Fauci and the FDA clearly playing a shell game with everyone on boosters, to babies now being injected for a virus that really can't even harm them.

I could say so much more, on about ten different fronts with this. But I wont clog this thread up. You can find my other ones; handful are below.

No, things aren't above board. Yeah, I do question. Its not a conspiracy. This distrust is fully earned.
