Lovers of Hindi indie music swear by the name Lucky Ali even now. In fact, only last year, the 63-year-old had gone viral for his impromptu performance in Goa. However, even the 'O Sanam' crooner has had his fair share of letdowns. Here are more details. newsbytesapp.com/news/entertain…
The singer shared on Facebook that he had worked with T-Series for his fourth album, 'Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai' (2004). While Aslam, Ali & another lyricist wrote the words, the company credited another artist as the lyricist & according to Ali, "he was being promoted by the company."
Ali objected to the idea, and his album was taken off the shelves. "Aslam should have gotten his due credit," held the 'Ek Pal Ka Jeena' singer. Originally, the post said that Sameer was the artist pushed by the label. But Ali later edited his update, erasing the name. #Tseries
Ali's complaint against the leading music producing company of the country is only the latest one to pile up on several such complaints by singers. Before him, Sonu Nigam had lambasted the firm and its head honcho, Bhushan Kumar.
In 2020, Nigam had posted videos bringing "mafia" allegations against T-Series. He was supported by several singers, such as Salim Merchant and Adnan Sami. #sonunigam#BhushanKumar
National award winner Monali Thakur had also spoken at length about the "mafiagiri" in the music industry, claiming labels crush singers "like an ant." "If you are signed up with a label and giving away 80 percent of your income, only then you get work. Why? It's not healthy."

India's Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has dropped from 2.2 to 2 i.e. the number of children a woman gives birth to in her life. The country's Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR) has risen from 54% to 67%, according to the National Family Health Survey data. newsbytesapp.com/news/india/ind…
The NFHS data indicates the country's population is finally stabilizing. A TFR of 2.1 is considered the replacement rate. It means a woman and her partner will be replaced by their children upon their death implying no overall change in the population. #fertilityrate
Under the fourth edition of the survey conducted between 2015 and 2016, the TFR was 2.2. Notably, the latest round of survey was carried out by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare between 2019 and 2021 in two phases.

Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court last month after spending weeks in jail in Cordelia Cruises case. It stated there was no evidence suggesting Aryan and others were involved in any conspiracy as claimed by the NCB. newsbytesapp.com/news/entertain…
SRK, who recently resumed filming for Pathan & the Atlee directorial, is naturally quite concerned about his son's ordeal. While Khan asked his personal bodyguard, Ravi Singh, to protect Aryan when he's away, he might also take legal action against those who implicated his son.
The bail order maintained the WhatsApp chats collected from Aryan, his co-accused—Munmum Dhamecha & Arbaaz Merchantt—didn't show anything objectionable. As per "Bollywood Hungama," now Khan has been advised to slap cases against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, and others.
A severe third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is unlikely to occur in India, said Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of AlIMS-Delhi. He added that booster doses of vaccine are not needed in India, adding the focus should be on increasing vaccination coverage. newsbytesapp.com/news/india/ran…
India has already seen two waves of the pandemic, the second of which occurred earlier this year & claimed the lives of tens of thousands. Experts have maintained that a high sero-positivity & a significant vaccination coverage will help control the severity of any fresh wave.
"As our vaccination program is moving forward, as we are seeing low vaccine hesitancy, and as we are seeing the vaccines are holding out - in terms of preventing severe disease & ... death - the chance of any huge wave is declining with each passing day," Dr. Guleria said.
