She had finished all her plans, she and her older brother
She rented a house, changed the children’s school and was about to move them out
Then she went to the pastor to tell him to please appeal to her husband not to make trouble once she makes the move
She knew he would put up

a fight
She told the pastor her brother had arranged for mobile police officers that would arrest and lock up her husband if he dare put up a fight
She said she had made up her mind to leave him because he had no drive, no future and had been a leech since they got married!

The pastor called the meeting for Sunday evening and broke the news as calmly as he could to the husband
Her husband couldn’t believe it
He had been working so hard (although with little to show for it) but he had been working very hard to meet the needs of his family
Things were

just about to turn around
It was the last thing he expected.
He tried to explain his side of the story, to appeal to the pastor so that the pastor can appeal to her
She took over at that point and said “The marriage was dead”
He kept quiet and took it in
He was about to lose

everything
The next morning, he rushed to his in-law’s house
He got there at about 6:00am hoping to have a word with her mother and siblings before they set off to work
He had been calling them on the phone and they had ignored his call
He got there and waited
Knocked the gate

and waited
They eventually emerged at about 7:15AM
They didn’t even give him a second look
He greeted and shouted
They saw him and drove off
It was hell.
That same day, at about 1pm, one@of his proposals got a hit and he was invited to the company he wrote it to for a discussion

The company was planning a campaign for the festive season and his proposal was selected as the beat way to achieve the company’s goal
His tourist business was given the nod to execute the project and paid handsomely for the job in dollars
He bought a house and a new car!

When he got home that night his wife had finished packing everything
He didn’t argue with her, he just told her to look outside
His wife saw the car and the documents
His took his wife to his new house the next day
He told her the company signed a five years contract with him

One month later, they moved to the new house
Himself, his wife, his children and the house maids
His wife was happy, the children were glad but he couldn’t let it go!
She was going to take away his children because things were tough
How was he supposed to just swallow that?

A few months after they settled into the house he filed for divorce
He did it from a position of strength!
His wife started begging him
His in-laws too
Even the pastor quoted scriptures and told him to let it go
He said No!
The intention of his wife was plain, why pretend?
