Since gun control advocated, race hustlers, and other willfully uninformed people want to keep flapping their gums, let's talk Rittenhouse.
Let's start with the basics.

If there had been no riots, there would have been no Kyle Rittenhouse.
There never should have been riots in the first place.

The riots were stoked by Communists, race hustlers, and the media (I know, I know - same things) without regard for facts.
Cops were called to a domestic incident where JB was.
JB had an outstanding warrant for sexual assault. JB was tased twice but not restrained. JB went to a vehicle to retrieve a knife. He was shot then.
He wasn't Brionna Taylor, asleep in bed with no warrants.

He wasn't Atatiana Jefferson playing video games with a nephew.
None of Jacob Blake's crimes merited a public execution, but rather than letting himself be arrested for the warrant, he chose to go after the knife.
Agree/disagree, whatever.

The fact remains that a riot "in his honor" was entirely wrong.
Let's move on to the violence.

If the mayor or governor had demanded the protests stay peaceful, there would have been no Kyle Rittenhouse.
Protesting is your right as an American. Many of the protests that have happened, even over the summer of 2020, were peaceful events.
Marching, chanting, holding signs, giving speeches - these are the hallmarks of protests and have been known to change minds and hearts.
Riots are not protests.
Destroying businesses and buildings simply because they are there does not actually convince anyone you're right.

It's violence against a community.
It's instilling fear through violence rather than convincing through rightness.

It's untargeted terrorism.
Rather than step up and protect the citizens of Kenosha, the city leaders and governor gave the rioters room to destroy.
Why? Perhaps they thought the riots would burn themselves out. (They didn't) Perhaps the riots would decrease in violence. (They didn't) Perhaps they thought the media would turn the attention away from their deriliction of duty (They did)
The bottom line is that the elected officials failed the people they swore to protect.

They bear the guilt of every burned building or bloodied body.
Let's now look at the rioters.

If there had been no felons on the street rioting and burning things, there'd have been no Kyle Rittenhouse.
It's not illegal to be a felon. Once you've served your time, you are released and can resume a somewhat normal life.
However...
These three individuals should not have been within miles of the riots. Why did they feel comfortable there?
Why did Rosenbaum, just released from a hospital following trying to commit suicide, feel that a violent and destructive riot was the place he should be?
Why did domestic abuser Huber feel comfortable in a violent and destructive environment if he was as good of a man as he's been heralded?
Why did Grosskreutz, a convicted felon, feel it was acceptable and necessary to carry an actually-illegal-for-him-to-possess-firearm into a violent situation?
If none of these violent men had been at the riot, if they had been shunned or rejected or told to go home because of their violent tendencies, then all three would still be alive instead of just one, and G wouldn't be a lefty now.
These were adults. Men with lives and experiences. Why should the burden to "choose something different" be placed on the 17 yr old when grown-ass men chose to be violent?
They willingly stepped into a violent situation. Why?

Because they expected no resistance.
They were predators hunting prey.

They were lions in search of easy lambs.
They took their lives into their own hands when they showed up that night.

They should accept responsibility for their actions and no one should mourn the fact that they sacrificed their lives and body part for the chance to be destructive, to cause chaos, and to hurt people.
Let's look at the end.

If there had been no gun, there'd have been no Kyle Rittenhouse.
No, I don't mean "If Kyle didn't have access to an AR15, there wouldn't have been a shooting."

I mean "If Kyle didn't have access to an AR15, there'd have been a dead 17 yr old kid who just wanted to help."
Kyle could have picked a handgun.

Except that those are illegal for a 17 yr old to possess in public.
Kyle could have picked a shotgun.

Except that control and spray pattern could have caused collateral damage.
Kyle picked a rifle that 1. he was comfortable with 2. he could control 3. he could be fairly sure of hitting what he aimed at 4. he was legally allowed to carry in public.
You don't have to like that he carried a gun into a violent situation. But before you get there, you have to explain away how the violent situation came to be and justify someone setting a dumpster on fire and trying to push it into a gas station.
Kyle agitated the rioters by putting out fires.

That is why they were chasing him.
I'm not going to go into his defense. The court case was public. Go watch it. Read transcripts.
But for anyone to blame a 17 yr old for killing 2 and disarming a third without looking at all the failures, all the lies, all the evidence of everything that led up to the moment he feared for his life is to dismiss reality, to hate on a teenager because he's not on your side.
Oh, and anyone saying "OTHER COUNTRIES" can shut up.

Surrender, giving in to the mob, staying quiet as your lives are destroyed may be in your DNA, but it's not in ours.

And if you're an American and it is in yours? Move.

If the Waukesha driver was white, there’d be marches by now.
If the Waukesha driver was white, they’d have interviewed his neighbors by now.
If the Waukesha driver was white, Acosta would have demanded Trump denounce him by now.

When does the Left start acting like then good people they claim to be?
When does the Left start loving America and Americans they way they say they do?
A Trump supporter gets shot? They cheer.
A Trump supporter gets COVID? They root for death.

These are not the acts and attitudes of good people.

Man, they do NOT like having their hypocrisy thrown back at them.
All I want is for people to be honest about themselves and their history.

Politics could become humane again if anyone used the words “yes, I did that. I was wrong and won’t do it again.”

But neither side is taking that step.
The Left certainly isn’t. They have two modes: winning and escalation. They will say or do anything necessary to win. And if the Right does that, they memory-hole their actions and escalate.

“The cockpit of an airplane is no place for political statements, but athletes have a freedom of speech that exists even in uniform.”

Can we have just one standard?
Listen, if you were against athletes taking a knee, you should be against this pilot saying LGB.

But if you were for athletes kneeling, you’re just mad at this dude for not being on your team.
Can people who are at work express a political opinion?

Yes or no?

Find what you think and stay there.

Sure Biden might have imported ISIS fighters during his disasterous Afghanistan pullout but hey, no more mean tweets.
Yeah Trump is gross and an asshole and generally horrible but holy shit he wouldn’t have done this.
“Trump was unfit!”
Okay, fine.

What’s your excuse about Biden?

People screaming about "60,000 Floridians being dead of COVID" are ignoring the fact that without DeSantis' leadership, we'd have hit 100,000 by now and our economy wouldn't be as strong as it is.
The people that praised Cuomo for his handling of COVID are the same people that say DeSantis is a failure.

There is NO way you can look at Florida's elderly population and believe that treating them the same way would have resulted in less deaths.
As far as the vaccine mandates, that would have hurt our economy and stopped growth.

"LIVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY!"

Tell that to the father who can't feed his kids because he lost his job to a vaccine mandate.
