Chaired the 18th RIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Discussed contemporary global issues. Highlighted that:
1. Covid-19 pandemic has alerted us to the need for more reliable global supply chains, especially in health.

2.RIC countries must recognize vaccination certificates issued by each other. The world should avoid unreasonable and unscientific travel restrictions.
3.There is a crying need for reformed multilateralism. Defending the outcome of the Second World War does not mean freezing the world order at 1945 forever.
4.UN reform is being blocked using a smokescreen of consensus as the only way forward. As a result, the international community is being denied its democratic rights.
5. Global expectations of Afghanistan are articulated by UNSC Resolution 2593. Afghan territory must not be used for terror activities by terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad etc.
6.India has offered wheat supply to Afghanistan as a humanitarian gesture. Such assistance must be facilitated without hindrance or politicization.
7.RIC countries should coordinate respective approaches on the threats of terrorism, radicalization, drug trafficking etc.

8.India supports upholding the rule of law, release of political detainees and cessation of violence of any kind in Myanmar.
