Hey guys. A lot of T cell hopium being irresponsibly passed around
I'm not cosigning that. If a mild case of Covid is giving lung diffusion issues, and given there is no published t cell correlate of protection, I think it's irresponsible and also disingenuous to write
Imagine I came to your field and said, "oh yea B cells will ramp up and protect you" if you were a researcher showing B cells were producing autoantibodies and producing severe cases.
You'd say, "wait a gosh darn minute, In some people that works to the opposite"
T cells are not some incantation you can invoke which will separate you from severe disease. Very sick people have the t cells
There's also no published correlate
there is no t cell marker to show who is a 30 year old that will get severe vs. mild illness based on their t cells
So all these scientist are being totally irresponsible, in my view. If you want, sure, go out and say, "or there was a paper on abortive infection." Be more accurate about it, because you're not. As far as you know who those individuals with that outcome is a roll of the die 1/
2/ and the advantage has likely been abrogated with a variant with greater velocity.
There is the moderbacher paper showing that naive t cells correlate with better outcomes.
You cannot increase naive t cells with vaccination.

When people are getting REinfected after 2 dose hybrid-immunity (there have been 2500 deaths in the UK in the last month of fully vaccinated people)...
Then no, our immune systems ain't "coping" with Covid-19 and it aint psychological
