I mean forget about the bloody stent! I had mine placed 20 years ago and by the Grace of the Almighty Lord haven't looked back! An anecdote: So, got admitted to the AFIC with Maj. Gen. Noori as my cardiologist. The stent was duly placed and as I was happily coming to in the 2/
2/ Recovery Room a Havildar of the AMC came and whispered in my ear, 'Sir Aik saw athaees (128)!' As he went away my cousin Nina Apa came to me and asked me in her gentle way, 'Mike, how are you'. 'Fine Ninpa', I said. See how good the Army is; its all done in 128 Rupees'.Fool!3/
3/ The amount was 128,000.00 Rupees!!!! As I found out there were no doctors fees or stoppages (admission for a few days and food etc., with some of the best nurses in the World! Up AFNS - may you do even better!). The cost was just for the imported stent! God bless the AFIC! 4/
4/ And General Noorani who now runs a State of the Art Cardiac Centre in Rabwah. Second to none. May he Live Long and Prosper!

It is shocking to see that seasoned journalists and academics give no marks to the cruelty of our Institutions such as NAB which can throw innocent people into jail cells and throw away the keys. For God's sake Ladies, have a heart. Show me ONE 'democratic' country that would 2/
