Awkward, or inexcusable betrayal of public trust:

'This skews the implied vaccine effectiveness, as a fair comparison would only include periods when a significant proportion of the country was vaccinated.'

A pandemic of the unvaccinated...the numbers speak for themselves, look at those percentages--wait, there were no vaccines rolled out for months into this time series?

Once corporate media puts out "32x" safe & effective to circle the globe before breakfast,
months later, a crack opens in some obscure corner of the information battlefield, and some outpost of the free and fair media puts out a qualified, & misleading 're-interpretation'...

The converse is that this may be used
not only to bolster
the 'pandemic of the unvaccinated' meme,
but also
the near 100% effectiveness of the vaccines
and
the absence of vaccine injuries
(for a time series that begins prior to the roll out date)
