Catholicity, as @PritishNandy would agree, challenges false presumptions -- for example, PM @narendramodi not meeting Muslim and Sikh spiritual leaders. Pritish Babu's presumptive assertion is patently false.

The Army’s Eastern Command had organised a tour of journalists to Tawang and forward posts in Arunachal Pradesh recently. During this trip, @neeraj_rajput of @ABPNews in a tweet (now deleted) drew a comparison between vulnerability of Siliguri Corridor and Chumni Valley. n2

The tweet by @neeraj_rajput was attributed to Lt Gen Manoj Pande, Chief of Eastern Command, who had briefed the journalists. However, no such comment was made by Lt Gen Pande. Given the hot borders with China, such mischievous attribution could have caused a major issue. n3

There’s a lot of ill-informed opinion floating around on what Bengalis eat just because they eat “non-veg” food during Durga Puja. What people do not realise is that there is more to food than what they eat. Some thoughts here on what Bengalis eat…

In Bengal the autumnal Durga Puja has two narratives. One, Uma the universal daughter coming home to join the harvest festivities. In Bengal, fish is associated with all celebrations. Second, Durga as Shakti being invoked by Sri Ram to to fell Ravan. ShAkts are non-veg.

But contrary to pop opinion, Bengalis are fond of leafy veggies and greens. Bengalis consumer 25 different varieties of saag. This is apart from other Bengali veg favourites like drumsticks, katowar daanta, saapla (water lily stems), kochur loti, banana stem and flower, etc.

Another big ticket reform by Modi Government with CCEA-empowered Committee of Ministers approving the bid by Talace Pvt Ltd, subsidiary of Tata Sons, for acquisition of Air India. With this, Maharaja returns to the Tatas 68 years after it was nationalised by a Socialist PM.

The Tatas’ winning bid for Air India was Rs 18000 crore. The floor price was Rs 12906 cr.
Tatas will get 100% shareholding in Air India and Air India Express, and 50% shareholding in Air India’s ground service AISATS.
The formal handover will happen by end-December 2021.

Air India disinvestment does not include non-core assets like land and buildings, valued at Rs 14718 crore. These will be transferred to GoI’s Air India Asset Holding Ltd.

I first met Modi Ji during MM Joshi’s ‘Ekta Yatra’ in 1991-92.
Since then I have seen the making of a leader whose intentions, integrity and immense capacity to not only ideate but translate ideas into action are beyond dispute.

I grew up, came of age, worked in a India with little hope.
Atal Ji was the harbinger of change.
Modi Ji is *the* change.

Atal Ji called for abrogation of Art 370 at historic Kashmir rally at Boat Club in 1991.
Modi Ji organised MM Joshi’s Kanyakumari to Srinagar ‘Ekta Yatra’ culminating on Republic Day 1992.
On 5 August 2019 Modi Sarkar abrogated Art 370 and 35A.
