1/5 During today’s @OPCW #CSP-26 session, three crucial decisions were adopted:
a. CNS
b. Budget 2022-2023
c. Report on implementation of #CWC2020.

🇦🇱 supports all initiatives contributing to implementation of #CWC & eradication of use of chemical weapons worldwide.

2/5 🇦🇱 co-sponsors & voted Yes to adoption of Understanding Re. the Aerosolised Use of Central Nervous System-Acting Chemicals f/Law Enforcement Purposes.

The adoption of #CNS addresses the use of specific #CNS acting chemicals prohibited under #CWC.

3/5. 🇦🇱 is pleased to have voted in favor of the #OPCW 2022-2023 budget proposal. The budget enables #OPCW to continue its vital work in the effective implementation of #CWC.

4/5 🇦🇱 voted Yes re “Draft Report of OPCW on the Implementation of #CWC on Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction in 2020”.

🇦🇱 supports and commends the work of #OPCW Technical Secretariat #TS.

5/5 🇦🇱 was glad to co-sponsor the statement on #NGOs participation to #CSP-26. #NGOs are important and engaged partners in upholding the Chemical Weapons Convention #CWC.
