The court has been packed, politicized, and perverted. The solution to this problem is not just "win elections," or "replace retiring justices," or even "pass democracy reform." You have to reform the institution itself or the answer to Sotomayor's question is clearly "No." 
So what could Dems do? Expand the damn court. There is a bill in congress by @MondaireJones and @EdMarkey to do this. *Most* Democrats are not cosponsoring the bill. If you have a Democratic Senator or Rep, ask them why the hell they aren't onboard. unrigthecourts.org
As a stopgap, Senate Dems could pass the Women's Health Protection Act. 2 Senate Dems are not onboard, and it will never get a vote unless 50 Dems agree to get rid of the filibuster. indivisible.org/tell-senate-pr…
