@Debunk_the_Funk, the paper by Wölfel, Drosten et al. used different mechanism to detect the viruses. Lee´s point is that in Sanger sequencing you can not find the primer sequences.

@Debunk_the_Funk Lee was right in that the primer is not include in Sanger sequencing. Apparentky, you did not know that and confused him by pretending it shows up after sequencing.

@Debunk_the_Funk Lee is also right that the Chinese changed the Wuhan WT sequence; they did not report a second sequence or mutant. They simply changed the genome of the first reported. Further, It´s required to do Sanger sequencing to confirm all 29 tausendsomething nucleotides.

@Debunk_the_Funk Lee, like many others, simply wants to see proof that the amplicon really contains covid-sequences and that is not done in 99% of all positive PCR tests.

@Debunk_the_Funk you need to sequence the amplicon, not the sample to make sure the virus was amplified.
And indeed only samples positive after <20 cycles should be sequenced. There must be a world wide SOP to detect the virus and stop the PCR-demic.

@Debunk_the_Funk The paper by Tartof et al...of course a positive nested PCR is positive. It is such important paper, it really should be confirmed by sequencing.

@Debunk_the_Funk Sequencing a sample with a Ct >27 has low levels of RNA, you say, and if it gives false sequences after sequencing... Then they are false positives, as Lee said. You say: No, they are not. Are you deliberately upsetting Dr Lee by by confusing him?

@Debunk_the_Funk the conversation is now becoming an interrogation. Lee does not claim it to be fake data. He says he does not know the % of false positives. Here you can calculate the percentage false positives.

@Debunk_the_Funk I now understand you are advocating mass PCR Testing. So, we will be forever in PCR-demic. We will never return to normal.

@Debunk_the_Funk, I kept listening. Lee did not provide misinformation. He discussed his own papers, you did not debunk them.

If PCR is not detecting infectious virus, where do you set your Ct for infected and uninfected? And you talk about RNA levels, but the test is not quantitative.
