Bernardo Silva's brilliance in every phase of the game in the 21/22 #PL (so far):

Firstly we'll cover the attacking phase:

Most clinical players in the #PL 21/22 [non-penalty Goals - xG]

🥇 Bernardo Silva - 4.1
🥈 Mohamed Salah - 4.0
🥉 Maxwell Cornet - 3.5

Meaning Bernardo has scored 7 goals from just 2.9 xG, he's been extremely clinical in front of goal.

Bernardo also ranks very high in another measure of clinical shooting, if we look at Goals per Shot Attempted:

🥈 Bernardo Silva - 0.39
🥉 Maxwell Cornet - 0.38

This indicates Bernardo picks his shots wisely and only shoots when in the right positions.

In terms of raw goalscoring output, Bernardo has very much added that to his game this year, being the 4th top scorer in the league, and the highest scoring midfielder.

To consider that even before he was scoring regularly, he was already one of the best players in the world, but it's just the icing on the cake.

Next we'll look at his chance and shot creation.

As very much expected, Bernardo's dribbling and ball carrying is consistently ranking amongst the best in the league.

We'll also look at his defensive contributions, although these can be a bit trickier to compare with other players in the league, but let's see.

Bernardo ranks 4th [total #PL players] in tackles won in the final third of play (More than any #ManCity player).

Another interesting stat to point out, which won't suprise anyone, is Bernardo's shear distance covered.

Anyone that watches him regularly will probably struggle to find a time where he isn't giving his all and sprinting at every necessary opportunity.

Bernardo also leads several other #ManCity defensive stats:

Bernardo has been on another level this season, and as most of us know, stats do not give him full credit for his work on the pitch. I hope some of these illustrated how incredibly unique and all-rounded of a player he is.

One of, if not, the most all-round player in the league, and the world.
