Anthony Moore now on the stand for the defense. He is testifying to working for a security company.
He worked at the Sheraton Hotel in Jan. 2019 near scene of reported attack. #jussiesmollett
He testified that he saw a white man with a ski mask on running past him, followed by a second person. He didn't get a good look at the second person. @cbschicago
He also saw a third person from a distance.
Defense attorney: Are you sure a white male that day?
Moore: Yes
Moore says he was interviewed by special prosecutor for hours and the statement he signed mentions nothing about seeing a white man--despite telling the special prosecutor that is what he saw. Says he felt pressured.
Jury now seeing surveillance image of brothers buying supplies a day before reported attack—Prosecutor has him establish that both brothers are black. Does the same thing with a picture of the brothers.
"You agree that gentleman is a black male, correct?
Moore: Correct
Moore is off the stand.
