Execs wanted security to stay with him off set, but Smollett did not like that idea. He only agreed to on-set security.

Special Prosecutor now up: Has Mahoney reads a tweet of support for Smollett he posted after the attack shortly after it was reported. Trying to establish that he is friends with Smollett

Smollett asked Mahoney last week to testify on his behalf. Mahoney did not have a plane ticket to Chicago until Smollett asked.

Mahoney: It was Jussie’s choice not to go public about the threatening letter.

Mahoney discussed a lunch he had with Smollett in NY. They discussed Smollett's future on the show.
