Over the years i've made thousands flipping items I got for FREE.
Yes free, then selling them on Amazon and eBay for profit.
Here's how:
THREAD
I now sell full time on Amazon FBA sourcing items from retail and selling for a profit
didn't always have lots of capital to buy products with, here's how to get started if you're in that boat...
Because this doesnt require capital, it does take time
I've seen people use these methods to create extra funds they needed, and you can to.
1 - Source Your Closet
We all have old stuff we don't want. That stuff is worth money.
Your old video game consoles, sneakers, and collectables?
Sell them on eBay, Poshmark, Mercari and other marketplaces referenced throughout the thread.
Take good photos and write relevant descriptions. Reference Youtube if needed.
Literally just go see what you have and execute.
It will help you offload unwanted stuff and stack some cash in the process.
I made around $400-500 doing this last year during quarantine.
2 - Consignment
Just like you have stuff you don't want, so do your friends.
Do the leg work to sell their stuff for them and split the profits.
Everyone wins, and you get more expereince flipping that will pay off if you decide to start investing $ in product.
This works WONDERS if you're in college. I'll publish a thread all about the textbook consignment hustle.
Sell your friends books for them on Amazon & Bookscouter.
I made THOUSANDS doing this during college at the end of semesters.
Use the app ScoutIQ to scan books and reference for profit,
Kids don't care for the books at the end of the semester, so we profit
I was buying books for $5-20 then flipping them for $40-100 immediately on Amazon
Awesome money especially as a college kid.
3 - Facebook Marketplace & Craigslist
You can put "FREE" in the search bar and people are literally giving away stuff.
Here's a quick search in my area, somebody would pay $20 for that chair.
A guy I follow on instagram sells a few couches a week he gets for $0 for HUNDREDS.
Just make the stuff look good in the photos, clean them up if needed and optimize the listings.
You'll improve as you go.
Guy uses his couch flipping money for rental properties.
Many of them
4 - Local Apps
In the past few years a variety of apps have created their own local economies to compete with Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, this creates more arbitrage opportunity.
LetGo, OfferUp, FreeCycle, NextDoor to name a few of them.
Quick tip: use completed sales history on eBay to know what something actually sells for.
You'll be shocked at the second hand market on some stuff
Give it a go on something random, filter the search to sold items.
People give away stuff all the time on here, and it's a great place to sell the stuff you got from Facebook Marketplace in vice versa.
More eyes = More sales
Get your product up in as many places as possible
Money is everywhere.
Yes this takes leg work and hustle, as does anything.
If you need money and don't want to work a part time $10/hour job, this can be the solution.
If you have time and need money, make it happen.
I've made THOUSANDS of dollars of profit over the years with these methods and so have many others.
