The government published and then unpublished the "easy reading" version of the consultation.

Luckily @SexMattersOrg saved a copy

The easy reading guide shows how poorly thought out this legislation is.

It reveals that the ban would target teachers
"Conversion therapy is an an attempt to change ... the gender you want to be"

Sexual orientation means "the gender you are attracted to"

The Domestic Abuse Commissioner today launched a survey.

It does not ask your sex.

Does. Not. Ask. Your. Sex

😢
People have different needs and the survey is to tell government what those needs are.

But @CommissionerDA has already decided that there are no needs that are different depending on sex.

Everything must be mixed sex.

She is not even going to collect data on sex.
The @CommissionerDA says that their work abides by the @womensaid Research Integrity Framework

I hope @Emmabarnett challenges her on comparing women who won't pretend that they can't see sex to anti-semites, and lesbians to racists if they rule out dating any men.

Does anybody want to buy a bridge?

Galop is crowdfunding for £10k to "keep our National Conversion Therapy helpline open"

You might think that is an odd thing for a £1.6m organisation to do....
Until you learn that Galop only raises about £15k a year from donations.

The rest comes from government contracts.

Galop say in their Crowdfunder that work with victims of conversion therapy "every day"
Which is odd because when Stonewall, Mermaids etc did a national survey they could only find 43 people who said they had had such a negative experience in relation to gender identity
