Today, at 11:38 a.m. I received a call from my psychiatrist brother.

My sister committed suicide last night and I have no idea what to do with that, what the hell do you do with that???
I’m overwhelmed by so much support and love.

I am saddened so many of you have experienced this, but I am depending on your wisdom to get by.

Lobbying has kept the minimum wage artificially low, so let’s take a look at the truth about workers & wages & who has their hands out.

A $15 an hour minimum wage is not a handout; childcare subsidies are not a handout. They are an effort to bring equity in an atmosphere of hostility directed at the worker.

It’s far less than it should be if it were adjusted for all the years Congress failed to act.
