Imagine living in a rent free home that is so huge you don’t know your ‘downstairs’ staff are holding a Christmas bash. 1.
2. Imagine sneering with a group of elite ‘upstairs’ staff at the downstairs - cleaners, catering staff, low paid staff - at their audacity in having secret Santa gifts.
3. Imagine if the pantomime rehearsal had gone on longer they could have thrown in a few laughs about gifts from Poundshops.
4. Imagine creating a public outrage that will end in the dismissal of the ‘downstairs’ lot.
5. Imagine outrage about the contributors to our loss of lives due to Covid - dodgy PPE contracts, NHS staff left with no protective equipment, care homes taking untested patients, failed test & trace, poor overcrowded housing & so much more.
6. Imagine what was at the base of all those ‘mistakes’ - the ever increasing need for profit above all else for the few at the expense of the many.
7. Imagine a government that offered to change the system so that the Many were not treated like collateral damage through a desire to hold on to systems, structures & cultures to ensure power remains invested in the few.
8. Imagine political leaders that would put the many before the few and only at a cost of a few pennies in the pound from those who have more than they can ever possibly spend.
9. Imagine the hope & desire for a better future that inspired hundreds of thousands to engage with the Labour Party from 2015 to 2019.
10. Imagine why the few wanted to destroy that hope & how the middle joined in.
11. Imagine if all politicians were determined to address these problems of society structured on profit above all else above bringing in laws that will harm - #BordersBill #NHSHealthAndCareBill
