Epstein also denied meeting the high-ranking British defense contractor Sir Douglas Leese, who brokered major arms deals in Middle East. Leese's son, Julian, appeared surprised at Epstein's denial, telling @VickyPJWard, his father was a mentor of sorts to Epstein in the 1980s.

In the 80s, the late Sir Douglas Leese was involved in brokering the first of a series of record arms deals between the UK and Saudi Arabia -- the highly controversial Al Yamamah deal, which also involved members of the royal families and top officials in both countries.
Epstein used an Austrian passport with a fake name and his photo, stating his place of residence was Saudi Arabia. He used it to enter UK, Spain, France and Saudi Arabia in the 1980s. Passport found in 2019 with cash and 48 loose diamonds in his NY home: nbcnews.com/politics/justi…
It is unclear why Epstein needed this passport or who got it for him. Before his prison death, he told authorities he obtained the Austrian passport in 1982 -- when he was just 29 yrs old -- for "personal protection" in case of "potential kidnappers, hijackers, or terrorists."
The Ghislaine Maxwell trial may fill in more of the Jeffrey Epstein pieces but, so far, it doesn't take much more than a simple, fact-based timeline to see that this story is about a lot more than sex-trafficking. #GhislaneMaxwellTrial
