Let’s for the sake of argument assume Jack’s claim is accurate and definitive.

Still it’s up to Trump whether he runs.

And it’s abundantly clear from the data that if he runs, he will win the nomination.

So ultimately this claim has zero affect on outcomes.
The DeSantis supporters are engaged in a redux of the 2016 meme that the Dems are hoping for Trump to run based on his vanity because it assures them the Whitehouse. And it’s corollary that Trump doesn’t mind destroying Republican chances.
For context:
If that “ammunition”, which is widely known by everyone, was so impactful then why is Trump polling so well right now?
The polling on Trump in states that matter currently does not reflect this commonly held view by the Twitter right wing intelligentsia.
The polling seems to suggest the opposite. That, as time passes and the independents see the alternative in a Biden presidency, buyers remorse is setting in along with a wish to return to Trump’s policies.
This could happen. But I think the opposite is more likely. That independents have realized they were duped and manipulated. I don’t think the media will be able to easily reverse the swing.

Here is my view of where we came from and where we are.

From right after Trump’s victory in 2016 the American public was inundated with “reporting” about Trump’s potential collusion with Russia. 1/13
Many Trump supporters immediately rejected the notion based on our views of Trump and our understanding of how he played the game of politics, ongoingly baiting the other side into growing levels of insane analysis of him and his motives. 2/13
However, they had the supposed evidence and at that point we had effectively seen none of it.

From that point on, as every drip of information came out, this corner of Twitter grabbed onto it like dogs on a bone. Chewing through it and seeking to interpret how it fit. 3/13

McCarthy likely saved 6-10 seats by allowing those members to vote for the BIF. He didn’t fascilitate the passing of the bill because I just don’t believe that in the scenario where literally no Republicans voted for the bill, that the squad, who cast “principled” no votes… 1/5
“because BBB wasn’t being voted the same day”, would have in the 0 Rs scenario not have just voted for the bill.

Once it was clear to McCarthy that the bill was going to pass, the question became what was the best way to play THAT hand. 2/5
Those arguing that McCarthy is weak because he let his members “help Pelosi pass the bill” just misunderstand how the process worked. Each of the factions were leveraging to get the most value out of a vote that was inevitable. 3/5

I hadn’t said this before but I have also been dealing with a Covid infection.

Just confirmed by test that I took on Friday.

I have mild symptoms that increased a bit yesterday.

I started taking Ivermectin.

Feverish but nothing high. The headaches suck. Body aches.
A five hour headache is no fun at all.

Seems I’m starting to finally break it.
Right now I have no headache. May not last but I’ll take it.

This is absolute unambiguous nuttery.

It is so sad that there are people on the right that see reality through this lense making things that are so much less important the master of things that are critically important.

Politics will not solve cultural shift.
Moreover it may trigger your idea of freedom or constitutional rights but states outlawing vaccine mandates is both legally dubious and bad policy.

State governments shouldn’t get between employers and their attempts to keep their employees safe.
If they start here, where else does government take this power from private businesses? Who compensates injured employees?

States have neither the funds nor expertise to decide what health requirements businesses use to keep their employees safe.

🧵From the desk of 45 on crazy Nancy Pelosi:

Nancy Pelosi is spending a great deal of time, effort, and money on the formulation of a Fake and highly partisan January 6 Committee to ask, “what happened?”
Will Nancy investigate herself and those on Capitol Hill who didn’t want additional protection, including more police and National Guard, therefore being unprepared despite the large crowd of people that everyone knew was coming?
Will Nancy and her Committee study the massive Voter Fraud that took place during the 2020 Presidential Election, particularly in swing states, that was the reason hundreds of thousands of people came pouring into Washington and, therefore, must be a big factor…
