The doomsday pundits are basing all their scary predictions on the premise that the 1/6 committee members are all complete morons who:

1) can't read a calendar

2) forgot to interview friendly witnesses before moving on to hostile ones

3) don't know when the midterms are

Once you realize the 1/6 committee members aren't morons, did amass evidence from friendly witnesses, control the pace of their own probe, and will make criminal referrals that will carry over no matter how the midterms go, you realize these doomsday pundits are pushing FICTION.

Ask yourself: is committee member Adam Schiff a complete moron who can't read a calendar and doesn't understand how to handle witnesses? Or is he a savvy politician who knows when the midterms are, and a former prosecutor who knows exactly how probes work? You know the answer.

Is Bennie Thompson a complete moron? Is Jamie Raskin a complete moron? Is Liz Cheney a complete moron?

Because these scary predictions from the doomsday pundits are all based ENTIRELY on the premise that the committee members are all too stupid to tie their own shoelaces.

The doomsday pundits insisted the committee members were too timid to ever send a criminal referral. WRONG. Then the pundits said the DOJ would never act on a criminal referral. WRONG. How much more wrong do they have to be, before you realize they're just making up scary things?

It doesn't make you "vigilant" if you sit around fretting over the scariest of doomsday predictions. It makes you gullible, because these doomsday predictions are incompatible with the facts, and are DESIGNED to make you sit around fretting over them.

The doomsday pundits are insisting Mark Meadows outsmarted the committee by cooperating and then backing out. But in reality he gave them crucial evidence against the Trump White House, and he's still going to prison for contempt. It's clear who won and lost THAT exchange.

That's another thing. The doomsday pundits always base their scary predictions on the premise that the bad guys are all super geniuses who can just do whatever they want by waving a magic wand. When in reality most of the bad guys are self defeating morons like Mark Meadows.

The doomsday pundits ALWAYS try to sell you on the scary premise that the good guys are complete morons and the bad guys are total geniuses. It's Saturday morning cartoon level nonsense. But they count on you being too scared by it to logically or factually examine any of it.

That's why it never seems to matter that the doomsday pundits end up wildly wrong on just about everything they predict. When they're proven wrong, you're too relieved to ever put it together that they're ALWAYS wrong. Then they distract you with their next scary nonsense.

Once a doomsday pundit has convinced you that your side's leaders are cowardly morons, that the other side is going to win no matter what, and that the pundit is the only smart and savvy one in all of this, you end up PRAISING that pundit for feeding you scary bullshit.
