She used to be the president of Shell Canada and is clearly a cut above the usual out-of-work oil and gas executive that is appointed.

On the plus side of the ledger, she does not appear to be a UCP or PCAA donor and is from the more progressive area of the oil and gas industry

On the negative side: why can't we get someone from the investment industry with pension plan experience? Is that too much to ask? That would better reflect AIMCO's assets. #AbLeg #handsoffmypension

If you remember Travis' famous quote...."we (@Alberta_finance) do not interfere in AIMCo's investment decisions...."

Far be it from me to point out that @Alberta_Finance feels free to interfere in all of AIMCO's non-investment affairs. #AbLeg #handsoffmypension

This is important because the GOA does not pay the costs of AIMCO; rather the costs are divided up paid by the clients.

So @Alberta_Finance could order @aimcoinvests to do something (like move to a new building) and then stick pension plans with the cost. #AbLeg #handsoff

Maybe with some new blood on the Board AIMCO can start publicly reporting all Board expenses as required by law.
