UPDATE: The 32-metric tons per hour Rice Mill being constructed by Lagos State Government in Imota area of Ikorodu division will start operations before end of first quarter in 2022. Governor @jidesanwoolu gave this assurance after touring the project site on Friday.
@jidesanwoolu said the facility would be subjected to a pre-production test run before the end of first quarter next year, after which the full production capacity would be activated rice production.

UPDATE: Lagos State Govt sympathizes with parents & students over the accident that occurred in Ojodu, noting that 2 students were confirmed dead on the spot while the remaining 12 students, 7 Females & 5 Males are recuperating having sustained varying degrees of injuries. #Ojodu
The State Government will be responsible for the medical expenses of all these students.
The Government also confirmed that some students who had slight injuries have been discharged.

UPDATE: The General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authourity (@followlastma), Bolaji Oreagba has categorically disowned the unsubstantiated allegation that officials of the agency were involved in the unfortunate truck accident yesterday at Ojodu
Oreagba averred that” from the reports we received on the incidence, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, probably because of mechanical reasons. The police are investigating the matter; the public should await their report".
LASTMA does not have a traffic management duty post around the accident scene. And all patrol personnel had reported back to base for daily parade as at the time the accident occurred leaving only those at their traffic management posts”, Oreagba noted.
