Federal Auditor General criticizes pandemic border measures enforcement, other COVID-19 responses: Federal government failed to adequately enforce border measures designed to keep international travellers from importing cases of COVID-19. toronto.citynews.ca/2021/12/09/aud…#cdnpoli
'Public Health Agency of Canada only had records to verify 25% of mandatory quarantine-hotel stays ... The government had no idea what became of 59% of travellers suspected of flouting quarantine orders, after the agency referred their suspicions to law enforcement.'
'The auditor had scathing words about the inspections intended to ensure agricultural producers are properly protecting migrant workers from COVID-19, following numerous outbreaks among temporary foreign workers at farms since the start of the pandemic.'
Yeah, it is:
'The board’s human rights office confirmed that links included in the material “support the use of violence and terrorism against Israeli Jews ...
" specifically, including a link to the website of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (a group that is currently on Canada’s Listed Terrorist Entities), documentary and resources about Leila Khaled who was involved in plane hijackings ..."
"and an interview with Ghassan Kanafani, who was involved in violent actions against civilians.”
Unbelievable. Toronto school board report recommends Jewish trustee be censured for tweet below in which she complained about education materials report agrees contained anti-Semitism and could promote terrorism.
Board says her tweet could promote hatred against Muslims/Islam, except it doesn't mention Muslims or Islam. It talks about terrorism. Board also said she didn't acknowledge positive things in the materials. Geezus. You know, like Hitler was bad but he made the trains run on time
As of today, 86.976% of Canadians over 12 years of age have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine and 81.081% have been fully vaccinated. That's a remarkable achievement. Seriously. Apparently when we get to 110% first dose and 105% fully dosed, the pandemic will be over.
Good time to recall Trudeau & Co. also denied key information re SNC-Lavalin scandal to the Ethics Commissioner as well. (thread): Wilson-Raybould says Trudeau should let RCMP probe possible obstruction of justice in SNC-Lavalin affair - theglobeandmail.com/politics/artic…#cdnpoli
From the ethics commissioner report that concluded Trudeau had broken the federal Conflict of Interest Act:
'During this examination, nine witnesses informed our Office that they had information they believed to be relevant, but that could not be disclosed ...
'because, according to them, this information would reveal a confidence of the Queen's Privy Council and would fall outside the scope of Order in Council 2019-0105.'
