It was an eventful day, #IndianArmy continued its advance in all sectors. #Eastern: Sadipur ferry in Sylhet Sector was captured #SouthWestern : Kushtia was attacked after heavy bombardment, enemy withdrew & objective was captured. #SwarnimVijayVarsh
#CentralSector : A a battalion group of 800 personnel & equipment was para-dropped at Tangail with a view to capture Lohajang Bridge & destroy enemy retreating from Jamalpur and Mymensingh.
The paradrop at Tangail along with the Indian Army's speedy advance unnerved the Pakistani commanders. This combined with messages to all levels of Pakistani Army to surrender resulted in the Governor of East Pakistan recommending a ceasefire to the Pakistani President.
#TangailAirdrop remains as one of India’s biggest airborne operations boldly executed by gallant forces. The successful paradrop fell on enemy like a roaring storm & shook the enemy.

👉The Battle of Hilli was still in progress encountering stiff resistance
👉 Maheshpur to the rear of Hilli was captured, tanks were deployed to destroy enemy positions
#CentralSector: Pakistani battalion at Jamalpur which had refused the offer to surrender, began to break out of Jamalpur and disintegrated. The enemy vacated Mymensingh after heavy fighting.
A Joint Military training effort codenamed “EXERCISE KAVACH” involving assets of Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard is being conducted in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal next week under the aegis of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC).
The exercise involves synergised application of maritime surveillance assets, coordinated air and maritime strikes, air defence, submarine and landing operations.
Concurrently Joint Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance exercise involving various technical, electronic and human intelligence from three services will be conducted
