I’m not trying to get upset about more broken things—I’m already upset about enough broken systems—but the fact that few critics appear to have played the best mobile games and the WATA scandal is understood by almost no one is legit evidence of a collapsed journalistic ecosystem

Dammit, I forgot to teach my journalism students at UNH to immediately block anyone who criticizes you for not doing the job you are paid to do. /s

Given all the totally reasonable upset in the retro gaming community about apparently unethical and possibly illegal conduct at a grading house whose actions have *torched* the retro gaming market, this arrogant and aloof response from a gaming journalist is absolutely astounding

To be clear, I’m *not* saying the guy has to tear his shirt or whatever but it’d not be amiss for him to say that he and his publication dropped the ball on the most important story in their field and will try to better serve their readers going forward. It’s not that hard to do.
