Very important finding linking LC3 lipidation directly to lysosomes via TRPML1 to activate TFEB! From OG TFEB gurus nature.com/articles/s4155… . Of note: Physiological relevance of this response in crystal nephropathy!
Hot on its heels another great paper from my collegues @CasmaTx demonstrating a GABARAP mediated sequestration of FLCN/FNIP to control TFEB activity!

Really thought provoking results from @ThanhNguyen_TNN and @LazarouLab demonstrating and LC3/GABARAP independent role of ATG4! sciencedirect.com/science/articl… . This and @aagrotis @TRRC_LMCB paper jbc.org/article/S0021-… both demonstrate Atg8lyation on cellular proteins!! 🤯
