FIA actions that favoured Hamilton this season:
🇧🇭🇧🇭🇮🇹🇮🇹🇵🇹🇦🇿🇬🇧🇬🇧🤌🏼🇸🇦🇸🇦🇦🇪🇦🇪
Verstappen:
🇧🇪🇧🇷🇸🇦🇸🇦🇦🇪
🇧🇭
- Track Limits around turn 4 are fixed so no driver can abuse the exit of T4. Hamilton is doing so throughout the whole race, until Red Bull notices and asks Verstappen to follow suit. FIA forbids it immediately. What about the advantage that Hamilton has obtained? 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
🇧🇭
- Esteban Ocon makes a move round the outside of another driver, at the exit of turn 4. No one asks him to hand that position back.
Verstappen does almost the same with Hamilton. But he is required to hand his position back immediately.
Direct order, no investigation. 🤷🏼♂️
🇮🇹 (Imola)
- Hamilton goes off track lapping Russell. He damages his front wing. Can't go back to the track, so he reverses and gets back dangerously.
Masi defends that no driver was going through at that moment. Vettel was.
No penalty, for sure. 👍🏼
🇮🇹 (Imola)
- Before getting to the pitlane and having his front wing changed, Bottas and Russell collide.
No SC period, direct red flag. Understandable, for sure. But that way Hamilton avoids being lapped and losing a lot more time.
He ends P2 after a great comeback.
🇵🇹
Verstappen gets his Fastest Lap deleted because of track limits in a corner that wasn't being controlled, as stated in race director notes.
1 point.
🇦🇿
Verstappen crashes. SC deployed, as when Stroll crashed before, during the same race.
With 3 laps to go, race gets red flagged. Hamilton can benefit from P2, but Brake Magic does its magic and prevent him from doing so.
It would have been a 33 point bang on Lewis favour.
🇬🇧
- Hits Verstappen after missing his braking point at Copse. Causes a massive shunt.
Gets the equivalent penalty that Russell got for a minor hit with Sainz in the Sprint Race.
He wins, easily. From losing 7 points, to winning 25 to VER. But that's alright, sure.
🇬🇧
- It's not directly FIA's fault, but as result of that crash, Verstappen will be forced to start last in the Russian GP. He needs a new engine after the one in the shunt can't be used again.
🤌🏼(Monza)
- Hamilton exits pitlane but leaves Verstappen very little to almost no room. Verstappen commits. They crash. Racing incident? No, Verstappen gets a penalty.
The equivalent that Hamilton got in Silverstone 🤣 They both can't finish the race.
🇧🇪
- Race gets suspended with VER in P1 and Hamilton in P3. The race doesn't even gets started. Free points.
If Max had won a normal race, he could have got 7 points more than Hamilton. He got 5.
But fine, there was no race, that benefits Verstappen.
🇧🇷
- Verstappen pushes Hamilton off. He should have handed back the position.
He loses it afterwards anyway, but that wasn't right from FIA.
🇸🇦
- Verstappen goes off at the restart, being forced off by Hamilton.
He is asked to hand Hamilton the position back. And he does so before the second restart.
This, clearly favours Lewis, as we would see a week after, at Abu Dhabi.
🇸🇦
- Race gets red flagged when Verstappen is P1 after not having stopped under SC.
Unintentionally or not, it favours Max.
🇸🇦
- Mayhem. Max pushes Hamilton off and keeps the position after running off himself as well
He leaves Hamilton through, losing 7 seconds, but Lewis doesn't go through, because of the DRS thing
He, instead, crashes into Max, who then gets penalized for not letting HAM through
🇸🇦
Lap 42-43, I don't really remember, or care.
Lewis pushes Verstappen off at turn 27.
No action taken, no investigation, nothing.
🇦🇪
- FP3. Third reprimand (10 place penalty) on the table. Hamilton gets in the way of Mazepin on a hotlap.
No investigation. Ocon gets a reprimand for doing the same thing to Vettel in Q1.
GG Michael.
🇦🇪
- Hamilton jumps Verstappen on the start. At turn 6, Max is able to overtake Lewis and stay on track.
Hamilton cuts the track, regains the position and gets some distance between them both.
No investigation whatsoever. Different ruling than at Saudi Arabia? 🤫
🇦🇪
- And finally, the decider.
Masi gets it wrong with the laps in which lapped cars should have unlapped themselves.
Race gets restarted and the rest is History.
13 situations in which Hamilton gets favoured by an FIA decision vs 5 situations in which Verstappen does.
Now go and talk about robbery, rigged races, manipulations and baby tantrums.
