🚨🚨 Breaking - #Covid19 reported cases in Wales are down 2% week on week. This is against a backdrop of an increase in testing over the past week.

Covid patients in hospital are the lowest for 3 months and falling. 75% lower than last year.
Data here on patients in hospital. The significant impact of Covid on the NHS is down the past 3 months and 75% lower than last year.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister showing signs she doesn't understand spreadsheets or graphs...

I think the decisions are being driven by the sharp rises in cases in Scotland and England.

Wales will have a partial fire break with the closure of schools and many being off for Xmas. That should help the picture.

🚨🚨 The Times - "Unvaccinated players are thought to be fuelling football’s Covid fixture crisis"

FACT CHECK

The vaccinated are catching Covid at least in proportion to the % of the population they make up and are also a factor in spreading Covid.

thetimes.co.uk/article/unvacc…
For the Omicron variant, data from Denmark shows the proportion unvaccinated with it is closely in line with the % of population unvaccinated.

Most people with it are vaccinated, just like most people in the population are.

For the Delta variant Public Health Wales issued information that shows the rate of Covid19 in Wales is higher among vaccinated than unvaccinated.

🚨🚨 Wales remove proof of natural immunity from Covid Pass requirement

The natural immunity qualification for the pass, for people who had recovered from coronavirus had not been widely promoted

But it is further proof the Government drive is vaccine only and ignoring science
Ive had two vaccines and just had Covid. I do not see the need to top myself up a few weeks later with a vaccine when my body has just managed Covid with very little issue.
When my sons class (8 year old) had Covid spreading the children who previously had Covid were the very few who didn't catch it.

Proof of the natural immunity effect.

Yet soon they will try and jab them all down to 5.

➡️➡️ Hearing reports sports venues in Wales cancelling sports bookings having received updated covid guidelines from officials.

Training first week of January cancelled.

🚨🚨 Wales is alleged to be going into a firebeak.

Here we go again.... Children sports off.
If you look at cases in England and Scotland they are rising fast and Wales is behind.

If anything is needed to combat this spread if it does become a problem cancelling outdoor sport is not one.

🚨🚨 Most #COVID19 patients admitted to critical care are obese

➡️ 50.1% had a BMI which the NHS defines as obese

The % of patients in the severely obese category is over 4 times what you would expect if ICU patients represented the general population.

statsjamie.co.uk/covidbmi/
Obesity is generally caused by eating too much and moving too little, according to the NHS.

If we follow the logic of mandatory vaccination, should we also mandate how much a person eats or how much they move? I think we set ourselves down a dangerous path on either.
The rollout of Covid-19 vaccines has created a divided society with a group who want harsh sanctions imposed on people who choose not to have a vaccine.

I have had 2 vaccines and believe in a society where each individual has the freedom to choose what they put in their body.

Nadine is using data on 154 patients over 5 months.

It is true that 91% of patients requiring Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Severe Respiratory Failure were unvaccinated - this was 141 people.

Over the same period, 100,000 patients were admitted to hospital with Covid
I would hardly say quoting this most extreme care is representative of the likely outcome for patients.

She is basing her claims on 0.14% of the population admitted to hospital with Covid and ignoring the other 99.86%.
Over the same period there were 4.2 million Covid cases identified through testing (overall there would have been more but not tested).

So the basis of her claims is on 0.0033% of the cases identified.
