Remember, on December 10 2020 126 members of the @HouseGOP signed onto the amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking them to overturn the results in GA, MI, PA and WI. Those signers included McCarthy, Scalise, Brady. projects.propublica.org/represent/memb…
You don't get a delegation this big without prodding from leadership. They decided democracy was against their interest and worked to subvert it.
On January 6, after the attack 120 of them signed on to overturn the results of the Arizona results. In the wee hours of January 7, 137 of them signed on to overturn the Pennsylvania results. Their numbers GREW as they learned the scope of what happened on 1/6.
In total, 160 current members of the @HouseGOP signed the amicus brief, voted to overturn AZ results and/or voted to overturn PA results. An additional 13 members from the 116th Congress were on the amicus brief but did not return to the 117th. So 173 in total.
This is not Jordan and a couple of his knuckledragging seditionists. It's rotten all the way down and the longer we ignore the @HouseGOP's institutional hostility to our Constitution and democracy the more we risk losing both. /fin
