Ukrainians call enemy Russian soldiers орки (orcs), москалі (Moskali), кацупи (Katsups), ватники (vatniks), тероросіяни (terro-Russians), Талібан (Taliban), груз 200 (Cargo 200).

орки - orcs, from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings; orcs are inhuman creatures who make up Sauron's army from Mordor

москалі – Moskali is a vulgar term for a Muscovite with the sense of a barbarian, a savage, and an imbecile; someone who believes anything the Vozhd (Putin) tells them

кацапи- Katsapy, from a Turkic (Tatar) word meaning "butchers", "slaughterers”; the Muscovites are the slaughterers of the Crimean Tatar people

свинособаки, meaning "pig-dogs"

відпустники – vacationers; Ukrainians mock Putin who said captured Russian soldiers were "on vacation"

груз 200 - "Cargo 200" is Russian military code for the transport of bodies of dead soldiers, what they call "irrecoverable sanitary losses"; the Russians take the bodies of their dead away from the battlefield in tin coffins packed in trucks labelled «груз 200»

колоради – Colorados; Russian soldiers wear the St. George ribbon, the colours of which are the same as the Colorado potato beetle; this ribbon is a hate symbol equivalent to a swastika

рашист – rashist, an amalgam of "Russian" and "fascist"

ватники – vatniks, is literally "cotton-wool jacket (wearer)"; the term has come to mean a very stupid person

лапті – Lapti is literally "bast or bark shoe (wearer)”; it means an uneducated and spiritually impoverished person

Soon after they invaded the Russians tried to come up with a slur against Ukrainians and started to use укроп, meaning “dill”. The first three letters are the same as the country name, Ukraine.

But Ukrainians adopted “ukrop” with pride and even put it on military badges.
