The Scottish Ministry of Rain has paid an undisclosed sum to ensure that some of its summer rain will fall as extra cloudbursts in the Highveld area in late January and early February. The ministry has warned that these showers may contain traces of sleet, hail and snow.

The mountain kingdom of Andorra today announced a snow exchange treaty with Lesotho, which will reduce the impact of winter sports activities on the tiny European nation. Lesotho will henceforth have snow year-round and Andorran investors have already purchased several slopes.
