Rosie has really packed on the L-Bs this holiday season, and I don't have the heart to tell her.
At this pt she looks like a toaster with a golf ball on top. But I don't want to fat shame her!
And every time I sit her down for some Real Talk about healthy living and body positivity, I end up giving her a treat - THUS CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM. What a mess.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record here, the govt order was a secondary issue; the primary one was FDA non-approval of the dozens of rapid tests made here & elsewhere that have been awaiting clearance for a year or so.
Since rapid tests are back in the news (again), here's a reminder - by me, in early September - that this problem has been well-known for a long, long while now: "U.S. Regulators Are Failing the (Rapid) Test" cato.org/commentary/us-…
Probably the most frustrating part of the US rapid test debacle is that this product isn't complicated or novel like an mRNA vaccine. It's simple, and there are dozens of manufacturers around the world. The main bottleneck wasn't production; it was FDA approval.
My ideal house is just a bunch of glass, steel, concrete and top-end electronics/appliances, with the occasional couch, plant, & shower with insane water pressure.
