@loonatheworld TMI for today:
I stayed up all night last night. I hardly slept. Because I was marathoning a drama. I was watching "The Silent Sea" on Netflix, I couldn't stop midway so I just went through the whole thing.
@loonatheworld Have I eaten? I haven't eaten yet.
I've just been having this yuja tea I made earlier.
Now who's calling this parmesan cheese?? I bought this green bottle because it looked nice..!!

She says she'll have late-night food later
She doesn't like coffee much
@loonatheworld Am I going to have pizza tonight? That sounds good. I like sweet potato pizza. Yes you need to eat dinner.
Late-night food will make you gain weight? Yeah. No food doesn't make you gain weight though, whether it's now, breakfast, whatever.
Haseul sunbaenim are we going to study today?
We're not going to study. On days with me, we just hang out.
-
Haseul likes rose tteokbokki
@loonatheworld Do I put on sunscreen everyday?
I do. Everyday before makeup. Everyday.
@loonatheworld (Chat's setting up the concept) When did we first meet?
You know, that winter. It was also December, it was cold like it is now. I was young back then too...
It's kinda like woomanna? You know it was hard, but I watched some of it in preparation for this stream.
@loonatheworld I have some concerns from the underclassmen, so if I've ever had similar concerns as you, I'll share those with you, I'm thinking.
(t/n: this is what loonastaff posted about several days ago)
[She reads the first underclassman's concern]
This person is already going to be a senior in college next year, concerned about early burnout with career exams next year (wants to become a teacher)
Haseul relates to the idea of burnout, she has down times too. Sometimes she doesn't like hearing her voice; at times like these she avoids working for a bit - get your mind off of being on the same thing 100% of the time
Haseul will watch movies, or just take a mindless walk
On the walk she'll just think of random things. Like "these leaves have fallen from the tree since it's winter", "a dog is walking by", just try to follow where your mind leads you.
She thinks the OP is impressive for wanting to become a teacher
Haseul talks about the importance of good teachers and finds OP admirable for wanting to be one
She talks about some experiences with kind and considerate teachers she had throughout school, like a teacher who would try to sum up a class in the last 5 minutes for the students who fell asleep, a teacher who'd play soccer with the students, etc
From 3rd grade she had her mind set on being a vocalist
In 9th grade she went through a slump and that's when her mom suggested trying giving makeup a shot
So again, she suggests not being at 100% all the time, you can just zone out sometimes
[she reads the next message]
Haseul had a good Christmas, she had a good time
[She was talking about the carol medley but the stream's lagging too much for me to get anything]
(Haseul fixes the issue)
Haseul: it's not lagging now, right? I changed the internet thing.
She thought for the first time after reading the last message about wrapping up the year
It's not like she doesn't monitor herself though, she just sings like this at home and records herself - near the end of the year she'll go through all these singing recordings
She's got 1600 videos on her phone, says she needs to clean it up a bit
She's not the type to have regrets about how she did the past year, like she hates thinking, "I shouldn't have had that pizza" the day after eating one - if she'll be like that, she shouldn't have the pizza in the first place. If she decided to eat the pizza before, that's fine
For example say I send a message to Yeojin asking to borrow something important to her like a tumbler. Then I might think "oh should I have not have done that? Oh no!"
I avoid actions that lead to that, or thinking like that.
That used to be really bad for me when I was younger.
She's never really taken a break from singing throughout a year, she has clips of herself singing at home while she was on break too (she doesn't play them, just shows that she has them)
She suggests that after Christmas, set aside the days until New Year for planning for the upcoming year, rather than having regrets about the year that's just passed
"Not that you have to set goals or anything! Just be thinking, ah, 2022 is on its way. Just get ready to accept that after the 27th or so."
Making a bucket list for the new year? Hm, that would be fun to do together.
Next year for me? I've heard so much that I'm weak in terms of physical stamina, so exercising... Is what I've thought of. I've only "thought" about that though!
Right. Having a concert is goal.
And through DALPLY or content like this today, making ways to communicate? I can do the content, but Orbits came up with this idea. I didn't expect to be called sunbae, Orbits called me that so I Was like "ah I seem like that? Neat!" and it went from there.
Re: regrets, you can think about the past, say if you can do something about it, but avoid just lingering on it / having regrets
Last story, next year OP is going to college abroad in the US. As a sunbae of studying abroad, how was it? How did you make friends? School life? Any tips?
Oh I think it's the first time talking about being in America for school.
First she congratulates OP, and says, honestly she was there for about a year, but she had an aunt there so she went without much prep at age 17 (Korean).
But she just had the English bare minimum that she learned from Korea, so she went without knowing anything. She went to a mall with her aunt a few days after she got to the US, and the mall staff would greet her and ask if she needed help etc
The staff said "how are you" but she didn't get it, so she couldn't answer and just mumbled something.
So she went to school in that state - and her school didn't have many Koreans there - plus she was so shy - so she didn't say a thing for a month
So she's be in science class in one building, then have to get to another building for math in another separate building - but she'd have to get to her cabinet/cubby on the way in 10 minutes.
She compares the school bell sounds in US vs Korea (plays an "American" school bell),
They're just like the ones in the US tv shows, like that "brrrrrrring!" ringing sound. (she tries to look it up but can't find an example / doesn't know what to type to get those results)
"They sound like fire alarms do here!" (she finds and plays the noise)
It's really like this.
-
So the first time she heard that, she even half-thought there was a fire at first
The doors would lock when the bells rang too, so if she couldn't get into the other separate building in time, she'd have to use the intercom and ask someone to let her in which would get her a mark - so she just spent a month getting used to the system
Haseul would spend like 10 hours at the mall just on her own, thinking that no one knew her so she'd just practice her english, if she could get food and do all that she knew she'd be fine so she started speaking on her own out of her own interest which helped,
she says she practiced pronunciation before even learning words, to seem that she knew how to "speak" English properly so people wouldn't ignore her
Though she says she's not good at English even now
But with her good pronunciation, people thought she could speak English well
Which made it easier for other students to approach her but then she'd get shy and just be like "thank you thank you.."
Yeah, [speaking] English is about confidence. It's all confidence.
When about to move up to high school (she entered in 8th grade in US; last year of middle school) she opted to return to Korea
She says her mom was against her being on the vocalist track at first, but there was a choir at school which caught Haseul's attention
So she says studying abroad requires confidence
It wasn't her driving "license" she got immediately she got a "permit" that required supervision, she had to get a license a year or so later
How did she take classes? Everything was in English, US history, earth sci, math, "my head was gonna explode! I couldn't even take the exams even if they were open book."
She says she did relatively well in math despite being in the US with mental math learned from Korea, even though she's not good at math - as for earth sci she couldn't even get an A if it were in Korean, "so imagine how I did in America!"
And she didn't like lunchtime since she didn't really have friends, and the cafeteria is different from Korea, "with these loooong tables" so she'd be worried about who'd sit next to her, and if she looked to the side everyone at the table in that direction could see her
She mentions how people would start conversations in America like "I like your shirt~ I like your shoes~" but at the time she was just thinking "why do people like my clothes so much??" not realizing it was just small talk
She's surprised that people know her name from her time in America (Jane)
But for studying abroad, she recommends making an effort to make international friends, Korean friends will come more naturally anyways
She's surprised she talked so much on this. She's glad to hear that viewers seem to like today's concept, she may do the whole sunbae concept again, "good idea, underclassmen! Give me more ideas!"
She kinda felt burnout recently too, but while seeing her prior singing, she started liking her voice again. When she started that carol medley it was tough, though she was the one who said she wanted to do it.
At first things didn't work out like she wanted, but midway through preparing for it she found her confidence again.
The staff worked hard to prepare the dalply too, as Haseul had a bunch of specific requests - her outfits too, she nagged at the staff to prepare those too
When she snapped for the outfit swap she did a bunch of takes for that to get it just right, and while editing she had a bunch of requests for that. A&R, communications team, mgmt, they all went through a lot for the dalply.
Haseul's very exacting when it comes to work like this
She plays an old clip of her singing at home
She was singing "Around Thirty" by Sung Sikyung

She wraps up the stream
"bye bye~"

Title: 🍒Choerry Cafe OPEN🍒
@loonatheworld Vivi gets why the stream's called Choerry cafe, the room's really nicely set up
Vivi really likes Choerry's chair, she says it's so comfortable you can fall asleep on it
@loonatheworld "But your legs might get uncomfortable like this, right? It has a footrest that goes up too!"
She went live as soon as she woke up today - so far today, she woke up, got ready, went live
@loonatheworld She slept a lot but still feels tired; she wonders why she feels this way despite getting lots of sleep
@loonatheworld Re: Yeojin said she got her blood drawn at the hospital yesterday
The manager found that Yeojin's blood pressure was really low, which is why they had Yeojin go get checked out at the hospital
[LIVE] #LOONA Yves and Olivia Hye are live on VLIVE
Stream title: "Would you like to practice dance with the person who's the hardest to look up these days according to our home"
(Stream restarting for the 2nd time now due to audio)
@loonatheworld (The title is because she can't look herself up on SNS because Eve and Yves, are spelled identically in Korean, among other things)
