It’s 5.21am in New York and I’m here at the federal courthouse ready for another day of jury deliberations in the #GhislaineMaxwellTrial. The jury has been asked to stay later than usual tonight, so maybe we’ll have a verdict sometime today?? 
#BREAKING: the defence has just re-raised its argument about the jury’s question last night regarding count four of the indictment. They raised the same objection as yesterday, saying Jane’s return flight from New Mexico cannot be used to convict Maxwell on count four.
Judge Nathan, appearing frustrated, reiterated her ruling from yesterday. She said the defence’s language, that the return flight cannot be used to “form a basis” of a conviction under count four, is wrong on the law. The flight can be one relevant factor in the jury’s thinking.
After more back and forth, Judge Nathan reiterated again that her ruling stands. The jury will be told to look at their original jury instructions relating to count four. The defence is very worried that this note implies the jury is considering convicting on count four, I think.
#BREAKING: No verdict tonight in the #GhislaineMaxwellTrial. The jury sent a note to the judge a few moments ago saying their deliberations are moving along and they are making progress, but they requested to finish at 5pm instead of 6pm and resume tomorrow at 9am.
