1- "To say I was ready or prepared for my test result to come back positive would be an understatement. It happened so quickly and I am thankful to be vaccinated and healthy."

This is a testament to mass PR and obedience if ever there was one (cont).

2- First of all, this doesn't sound like a mild cold.

It's a breakthrough case, of course. Image
3- "The vaccine was worse than the disease" may not be the message the author thought it was.

Also, she did everything right including "follow the pandemic orders". Yes, always follow orders. Because of course. Image
4- Again, this does not sound like the sniffles. Image
5- And... there is no way to know if you're no longer contagious. Great.

Well, "Ministry of Health" has spoken, so that's that. Image
6- The article goes on and on, praising the vaccines and the all-knowing public health officials.

She is truly a model citizen.

1- "The result could well encourage responsible Americans to get on with their lives while allowing recalcitrant vaccine refusers to face the consequences of their reckless conduct."

Sure @JRubinBlogger - Never mind people who over-eat, don't exercise, smoke & drink (cont).
2- The selective morality & excusing of all life-style choices except skepticism of dumping unproven drugs into your body aside...

... This is still an admisison that vaccine mandates are worthless.
3- In essence, this is "Let COVID spread, the sophisticated & unvaccinated crowd will be fine. The unclean hoosiers in Indiana, well so be it."

1- “At least three Labour frontbenchers including Rachel Reeves are among a string of MPs to have tested positive for Covid this week..”

Welp (cont).

theguardian.com/politics/2021/…
2- “Two more Labour MPs – Emma Hardy and Feryal Clark – are isolating, while two Tory MPs – Darren Henry and Dean Russell – also revealed they would be missing the debate and votes because they had tested positive. The SNP’s Douglas Chapman is also isolating.”

All is well.
3- “With so many absences, Peter Grant, an SNP MP, raised concerns about MPs continuing to crowd together through the lobbies in the House of Commons on Wednesday.”

Yeah, this might be … dumb.

1- "..the Heat only had 10 players available because of injuries and one COVID-19 case and the Bulls were down to 11 because of a larger COVID outbreak within the team."

This is becoming unsustainable (cont).

2- "Chicago coach Billy Donovan said Saturday, “We’ve got a lot of guys sitting at home with no symptoms right now.”

Maybe COVID isn't the problem. Maybe thinking crappy vaccines stop COVID is the problem. Maybe testing nonstop is the problem.
3- "Wing Caleb Martin is also asymptomatic, Spoelstra indicated, and will likely have to sit out until Dec. 21, even though he and every one of his teammates has their booster shots, in addition to being fully vaccinated."

Boosters @NBA virtually mandated didn't move the dial.

1- "..his job approval rating lagging across a range of major issues, including new lows for his handling of crime, gun violence and the economic recovery, a new ABC/Ipsos poll finds."

Not to mention one foreign policy disaster & more in the queue (cont).
2- "As the White House confronts rising and widespread concern about inflation, Americans are especially negative on how the Biden administration is managing this issue."

In part because they see the contempt @PressSec has for the plebs. She is a disaster.
3- "More than two-thirds of Americans (69%) disapprove of how Biden is handling inflation (only 28% approve) while more than half (57%) disapprove of his handling of the economic recovery."

Nobody is buying BBB either. But they persist.

1- Ok this is dumb.

"Blue America, by contrast, has taken Covid seriously. Fewer than 10 percent of Democratic voters have not received a vaccine shot. Political liberals also tend to be comfortable wearing masks to reduce the spread of the Covid virus."

nytimes.com/2021/12/10/bri…
2- There is a difference between taking COVID seriously & vaccine skepticism.

@DLeonhardt and his ilk can't even see this, much less acknowledge it; even as the call for more & more boosters borders on comical.
3- Mask skepticism is another case of following data that shows no value in stopping transmission.

If anyone believes differetly, refute the hundreds of graphs @ianmSC publishes every month showing transmission unfazed time & again by mask mandates. I'll wait.

1- @JoeConchaTV does a good job of making the obvious point - bad performance leads to negative adjectives, not vice versa.

The botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the terrible COVID policy, record high inflation & crime - they are what they are (cont).
2- This is a core flaw with Team Brandon. It never occurs to them that performance matters. Their view is everything is a product of narrative.

When you have the Media in your pocket, I guess you think they can spin up any story you want (cont).
3- Note Kamala has the same issue. If she actually cared about the southern border problem, people might improve their view of her.

But in her mind that is irrelevant. In her mind, her public image is simply a bad PR team, or a good PR team. So she blames her team.
