The Lans had long since been without a beta. Their ranks filled to brim with alphas and omegas alike, in a world where betas were only desired for their distant similarities to pure humans.
The first alpha and omega blessed by the divine, gifted traits of higher beings, blessed humans with their children, until those humans succumbed to the agony of bearing those children. Some bore eggs in their wombs, some were only used to fertilize those of divinity.
Soon, these divine creatures saw the numbers of "betas" drop, torn open or consumed, and eventually only the alphas and omegas remained. Still, a beta would be born on seldom occasion, but it was never a happy instance. These betas born of divinity were much different.
In a way they were the farthest from the humans of old as could be, labeled monsters for their habits. The Lans had only encountered one before, the Madam who bore the great twin jades. She had one more child, a sickly young thing, before her death.
Madam Lan had been one of the last true human betas, but her final son was one of the ones that tormented the dreams of the muddled down divinity.
That sickly boy, Lan Wanyin, the radiant pearl of Gusu, was born a divine beta. Once he came of age, the elders dreaded his smile.
Lan Wanyin was small for a rabbit, spindly and frail, swimming in his Lan robes as if lost in a mountain of fresh snow. His ears hadn't the energy to stand, his tail tucked downward, his diet meager even for a Lan. Lan Qiren tried as he might, but the boy would not eat.
It wasn't until his fifteenth birthday, when he disappeared into the night, that they knew they faced trouble. The entirety of the sect worried and worried over how he had yet to present himself as an alpha or an omega, his brothers staying by his side all the while.
The elders then questions the two severely after Wanyin had disappeared, he hadn't the strength to leave the Cloud Recesses in his own! The twin jades shared a placid look, and stuck to their story, until a mournful wail came from the path leading away from the sect.
//gore
The elders rushed as quickly as possible to the sound, stuck by the gurgling that followed. The twin jades walked slowly, pacing themselves, Lan Qiren had hurried ahead of the elders. What they found was short of a nightmare.
//gore
The delicate pearl of Gusu was covered in blood, but the stench of it was too muddled, as if an alpha and an omega were both present before him. His pristine robes were dyed a unsettling crimson, and stuck to his skin as if plastered by the wetness of the blood.
//gore
And in his lap sat the open cavity of some poor deer cultivator's remains, organs dissectly messily by tiny claws and sharp teeth that belongs more to a wolf than a rabbit. Lan Wanyin hardly noticed he had company, swallowing a chunk of the bloody mass with a hum.
When one of the elders makes a slight whimper, Lan Wanyin simply turns, and gives them all the most haunting smile. When Wanyin spots his brothers, he flashes a bloody maw of jagged teeth and quietly exclaims, "Thank you for the food, geges! Wanyin isn't hungry anymore!"
Before the elders can turn their shock toward the jades, Wanyin turns to Lan Qiren, and frowns. "Wanyin knows there's no meat in Cloud Recesses, Wanyin is sorry, Wanyin was just so hungry! And didn't want to hurt anyone at home, uncle please don't be angry with geges!"
The plea silences all objections, many filled with the underlying fear that they could have very well been Wanyin's first meal. The ones who remained unafraid simply pursed their lips, and wondered what to do. The lessons at Cloud Recesses were due to begin soon.
Cloud Recesses would be packed to the brim with alphas and omegas alike, who would know nothing of Lan Wanyin's... diet. Lan Qiren had only seen something like this once before, in the Nie heir's younger brother, Nie Huaisang. He looked at Lan Wanyin, who looked so doe eyed.
So lost.
"Make arrangements to bring Nie-zongzhu and his brother to the Cloud Recesses early, and see to making a sealing spell for Wanyin, an alpha like Nie Mingjue will surely trigger him." He then turned toward his nephews.
"You two, are to watch over him carefully until they arrive. If Wanyin must eat..." The was a visible clenching of his jaw. "Find him something, discretely. We will tend to this mess."
In tending to the mess however, only one part of the couple's bodies remained untouched.
None of the elders thought to remark on the obscenity of the situation, but the twin jades held it in the back of their minds, and walked Wanyin carefully and stealthily back home. Left on the ground were certain parts of the bodies, completely untouched.
It had been as if Wanyin had been repulsed by them, or perhaps it was something else. The elders gagged at any of the thoughts as they cleaned the carnage.
A few weeks drifted by like blossoms on a breeze, Wanyin tended to only by Lan Qiren and the jades.
Wanyin behaved as he had before, quiet and demure, but there was something about his smile that brought shivers down the spines of inquiring elders. It wasn't until Nie-zongzhu arrived, that there was a stark shift in Lan Wanyin's behavior.
As a precaution, Lan Qiren had placed an intricate silencing spell on Wanyin, and while it served its purpose, once the scent of a foreign alpha, followed by the towering man, crossed the threshold, Lan Wanyin went from meek to vicious.
His mouth bled almost instantly as he tore through the silencing seal, sharp teeth covered in his own blood, his snarling accompanied by the gurgling of it. It took every bit of Lan arm strength from his brothers to keep him from lunging but he pulled as if to dislocate his arms.
Lan Wanyin wanted nothing more than to devour, and a sight that sent even Lan Qiren back a step only drew Nie Mingjue closer, and with every step, the scent he pushed outward choked the jades and made Wanyin snarl more, thrashing like an unhinged beast.
Nie Mingjue stopped just far enough that Lan Wanyin couldn't reach him, let the boy tire himself out, thrashing and writhing so much, before resting his hand atop his head, and stroking Wanyin's hair like his brothers always had.
Nie Mingjue turned to Lan Qiren, who seemed to have regained his slipped composure, and had him bring out their strongest binding ropes. Once in his hands, he set about tying them gently around Wanyin's ankles and wrists, connecting them together to prevent him from escaping.
In Wanyin’s hazy state, he hardly understood that there was anyone in the room aside from himself, but the pungent smell of that same alpha riled him up again, had his blood boiling. It was too much, he couldn’t understand it, he’d never felt like this about his geges.
Wanyin weakly pulled at his restraints that he didn’t recall being placed on him, only to slump into the heavy hands of the alpha he couldn’t see, only smell. His lips parted against his will, teeth bloodied and bared like a predator with no will left to fight.
The next thing Wanyin felt were fingers, long and thick, calloused and rough, shoving his own blood down his throat. Wanyin could only swallow around the intrusion, tasting the product of his own torn lips. Nie Mingjue was silent all the while, watching, taking mental notes.
After most of the blood was gone and Wanyin hadn’t attempted to snap his fingers off, Nie Mingjue let out a soft grunt of affirmation, watching Wanyin’s slack jaw dribble drool down his chin. He turned toward the Lans and nodded once, though they very hesitantly left.
//underage
Once Lan Qiren and they jades had left, Nie Mingjue pushed his pheromones out as much as he could, only to receive little response from the beta. Lan Wanyin’s eyes were glassy, and he was back to a docile slump. Nie Mingjue smiled, stroking Wanyin’s lower lip gently.
//underage
“That’s a good boy, Lan Wanyin, we’ll get you feeling better in no time.”
Lan Wanyin hardly noticed any of Nie Mingjue’s movements, aside from the shifting of his robes, more so hearing the rustle of fabric rather than seeing it.
//underage
He didn’t think anything of the press again his lips, different from the fingers that had been feeding him his own blood, thick and musky, full of everything that reeked of an alpha. “Open,” was his only warning, before Nie Mingjue pressed forward.
//underage
Nie Mingjue pushed his fingers into Wanyin’s hair, scraping gently against his scalp, while thrusting himself inside the now pliant mouth of the beta. His young throat was loose and warm, his breathing unusually even, as if he had done this a thousand times.
//underage
The motions were slow, but Wanyin was so pliant and docile that it took restraint to keep from outright fucking Wanyin’s throat. After a few minutes, Mingjue pulled away, only for Wanyin to follow. A slight tap on Wanyin’s cheek had him blinking away his haze.
Nie Mingjue knelt down, eyes level with Wanyin, who kept trying to push himself forward, wanting to fill his mouth again. Mingjue willed himself not to laugh, reaching around to untie Wanyin’s restraints. “Good boy, very good, now we know how to handle you.”
//implied incest
Wanyin wavered, swaying once released. He only wanted more, but sat quietly, staring at Nie Mingjue, body thrumming at the praise. When Mingjue smiled, he felt himself flush.
“We’ll do more later, and your geges will help out okay?”
Mingjue combed his fingers through Wanyin’s hair, brushing against his drooping ears, giving the young man a toothy smile. Wanyin nodded, excitedly perking up at the mention of his geges. He really could hardly wait
as someone who is forced to live in a house kept at like 78 degrees, has chronic breathing issues, and the joint and muscle pain of an old man, you can imagine how stressful and confusing it is to have been exposed to someone for literally 8 hours that had covid
sure i wore my mask, but we ate lunch and took breaks together, sure im vaxed and boosted but so is she! can 2021 just stop please im gonna need to become a hermit at this rate cause i mentally cant do this anymore. i cant even get tested for a week!!
all the sites offering lab tests are booked FOR A WEEK because people would rather hog them all so they can travel! theres no surplus for people who work "essential" jobs, we have to struggle to get them amid people who want them for recreation!!
dang re reading my first tweets where i was insane about ximeng and started writing my first fic is crazy cause i wrote a whole thread outline to use for the fic when it could have just been a thread fic TBH
I do be thinkin about taking proximity down and rewriting it a lot cause long fics arent really my thing! i could just write specific scenes based on the thread and call it a day (i might do this)
I think my writing style has gonna more developed since may... so i think id be okay with doing that now
“Shi Mei please wait you don’t have to leave!” Xue Meng never thought chasing a blind man would be so hard, Shi Mei’s movements hand’t been hindered by his lack of sight in the slightest. If anything it seemed his rage only made his steps lighter and faster.
Xue Meng’s breathing was heavy, he’s chased Shi Mei from across the main sect hall after seeing him standing at the entrance, as if he could see the ridiculous Mei Hanxue manhandling Xue Meng. It was more likely that he heard Mei Hanxue making his depraved jokes again.
Always at Xue Meng’s expense, the youngest Hanxue twin would make inappropriate comments, despite knowing where Xue Meng’s heart lay. All in good fun, he had promised, until Shi Mei had had to of heard them. Shi Mei had turned as swiftly as a breeze, and all but flew from them.
"You idiot, don't you understand when to stop?" Song Lan was scowling more than usual as he cleaned the floor of Xue Yang's trashed room. He didn't like to scold Xue Yang when he was like this, but the issue at hand was too concerning.
Xue Yang had a lot of issues, a lot of trauma, Song Lan knew that when they got together. Xue Yang acted out a lot, but he was relatively tame. It wasn't until they went shopping together once that Song Lan noticed Xue Yang bought candy more than real food.
He thought it was because Xue Yang was younger than him, a childlike urge he hadn't kicked, but then Song Lan noticed that Xue Yang finished the large bag of hard candy without a couple weeks. That was when he realised why Xue Yang was so tame save for the sugar.
