For a start...banning people from outdoor restaurants and outdoor activiities contradicts much of the advice we have been getting from governments in respect of the spread of Covid. It is looking more and more like governments are adopting extreme measures!!
Short of removing the unvaccinated from all forms of everyday life they can possibly impose and imprisoning them..how much can be done to discriminate against them - mandatory vaccination or limiting their access to food?
If this was your son or daughter, would you agree with such measures? Ask yourself this question and be honest enough to accept that this is disproportional to the perceived threat from a Covid-2 virus that is mild in its impact on the human body.
The bottom line is that like vaccines, there is little or no evidence that the unvaccinated are a major threat to public health or the primary and most certainly not the sole source of the spread of this virus therefore we should not be singling them out.
One could argue that with 32 million people fully vaccinated in the UK including booster shots, there is much less of a case for accusing the unvaccinated of spreading any serious form of the virus and therefore similar measures would be uncalled for.

Just in from Liberty UK...the British government is set to scrap our Human Rights Act and violate many of the rights we took for granted under the smokescreen of this Pandemic. The clock is ticking down and in two weeks time it will be make or break for standing up to tyranny!!
This is a Putin-like Power grab that will give the British government unparalleled power to abuse the limits of its authority, making it virtually untouchable.
Whilst it focuses our minds solely on Covid, it is hard at work behind the scenes ripping up our present day Magna Carta like the tyrants of old. What will you say got your children or grandchildren when they ask you down the line what you did to protect their human rights??
So.. are they going to put everyone who isn’t double jabbed in chain gangs after 16th August. Would it ever have been even imaginable that we would ever stoop so low as to discriminate against anyone just because they wouldn’t or couldn’t have a vaccine jab?
Irrespective of the benefits of taking the jab, I am appalled that this is the new democracy of the greater number that is being foisted upon us by a government that has only one priority - the economy.. not the public health nor whether you catch Covid or not!
So please let us not deceive ourselves with the moral platitudes of the politicians and media who condemn those who can’t or won’t with the same tarbrush as conspiracy theorists or anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers or anti-social distancing because that is not how society works.
This evening’s ‘One Show regular guest doctor left us all rather gobsmacked when questioned is the latest fall in new Covid cases mean that a third wave is no longer a concern in the U.K.!...
I think it is fair to say that he startled more than the odd viewer with the prediction that as more people become vaccinated, greater numbers of them will contract Covid. This seems to be contradicting the logic or rationale behind getting the vaccine in the first place.
It’s true that taking the vaccine doesn’t stop you contracting Covid but why is there now a suggested direct correlation between being vaccinated and contracting the virus. In contrast Prof Neil Ferguson has predicted that we will see a huge reduction in new cases by the Autumn!!
If the vaccines work the vaxxers praise the scientists!
If the vaccines don’t work they blame the Anti-vaxxers.
If the anti-vaxxers weren’t around they would point the finger at their neighbours.
If the neighbours weren’t around they still wouldn’t question the vaccines!
How true is this of those who seem to have a tunnel perspective on the vaccines that even support mandatory vaccination by use of ‘disincentives’ or punitive sanctions which in reality is a soft term for plain old ugly discrimination? The zealots somehow see no issues with this?
This punitive approach is increasing being backed by mainstream media. No other narrative is being discussed despite that this issue no master how important is not a question of us and them.
This is the sort of tripe that is being posted daily on Quora social media website. I despair at the total lack of any geographical knowledge whatsoever (Scotland is part of the landmass called Britain unlike Ireland) and the one-eyed vitriolic bias that stinks to the heavens. 😉
Every time I get a notification from this website lately , its some ignoramus posting their own piece of garbage. IMO it has become a vehicle for right wind nationalism of the worst kind. It should be given a wide berth as it nothing short of propaganda and needs factchecked.
The posting referred to is as bad as it gets when you hear Northern Ireland unionists referring to NI as part of Britain. It is a simple unassailable fact that N. Ireland is not part of Britain. The UK passport states it as comprising a separate area outside of the British Isles.
Don’t watch Love Island..period but the current series does raise the issue of how difficult it is for disabled people to meet and date other able bodied people.
It can be a minefield of picking their way together through awkward moments that can lead to misunderstandings in the early stages at least until they both get to know each other well enough to relax and accept each other’s differences.
Meds and their effects can really throw a spanner in the works leading to poor communication. Many people with disabilities struggle behind the scenes with self confidence and low self esteem. To date a disabled person you got to go the extra mile and learn to understand them.
