🌺।।The Legend of Srirangam and the Ranga Vimanam।।🌺
Srirangam is a small yet significant town located on the outskirts of Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, along the Trichy to Madras (Chennai) chord line. It is a renowned pilgrimage site, especially for Vaishnavites, drawing thousands of devotees throughout the year. The town becomes particularly vibrant during the Vaikunta Ekadashi festival, which falls in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December-January) and continues for 20 days. Despite being primarily a Vaishnavite temple, devotees from various faiths pay homage at the temple of Sri Ranganatha, the Adi Purusha Sri Vishnu in a blissful slumber.
🌺।।The Origin of the Ranga Vimanam।।🌺
According to ancient lore, after the cosmic deluge (Pralaya), Sri Vishnu rested in the milky ocean (Kshira Sagara), from whose navel emerged a lotus flower, and from that flower, Brahma was born. Desiring to have darshan of Sri Vishnu, Brahma began a severe penance. After years of penance, Narayana appeared before Brahma on Garuda and asked him what he desired. Brahma requested to see the God’s true form.

🌺।।Yogmaya – The Divine Illusion and Power of Creation।।🌺
Yogmaya is the primordial Shakti, the Mahamaya who manifests the universe through her illusion and power.
She is Bhagwan Vishnu’s inner energy (antaranga shakti) — the one who enables him to create, sustain, and dissolve the cosmos.
In the Bhagavata Purana, Yogmaya is invoked by Vishnu to facilitate his divine incarnations. She arranges his births, hides his divinity, and protects dharma.
She is both Maya (illusion) and Yoga (spiritual power) — binding and liberating beings according to divine will.
