All Margie Three Names jokes aside, the power of the big mainstream social media platforms, especially Twitter, is they let you broadcast outside your own base and do broad communication, positive or negative. It’s a lot less powerful to be yapping at each other on Parler & such.
If like her big daddy, Trump, Marge winds up getting kicked off Youtube and/or Facebook as well, it would be really hard for her to maintain her Vaudeville act, which requires an audience of not just fans, but also targets and hecklers to be effective (and lucrative) for her.
And since the woman has no duties in Congress, since her behavior got her de-committeed, she’s kinda nothing without an audience to perform for; though I assume Fox, OANN and such will give her lots of airtime at least in the short term. Tuckums probably already has her booked.
Seems like she and the teen dater and the other members of the Q Crew and Insurrection Squad are gonna need to go on tour full time to maintain the grift, which I assume they’ll do. Gotta keep the fans interested or they’ll find new shiny, angry things to love!
And it’s not hard to argue that these social media platforms have too much power. But at the moment, Twitter and belatedly/sometimes Facebook and Youtube are doing more to beat back rollicking fascism in America than the DOJ, the FBI and congress combined. Or broadly, the media.

Lastly, the MTN suspension will be a good field test for us in the media. I’m sure we’ll discuss it on the show tomorrow, but after that, unless she’s called before the 1/6 committee or does something truly insane, not sure why we’d give her the attention that Twitter took away.
We have this discussion on our team daily. These modern day fascists are truly dangerous, to their colleagues in congress and to our democracy. And we are supposed to cover/warn about dangerous things. But they’re also grifters seeking stardom, even if via infamy…
