We will begin at the ending since, as @TonyYvce had said to us, this was likely to be the shortest man hunt in Canadian history. Slight hyperbole, but really not much as Kevin Johnston was taken into custody trying to cross the US border on foot. 1/20

We had first gotten wind that Kevin was on the lam yesterday when @JaneQCitizen posted screen shots from the anti-mask/anti-vaxx Telegram group run by Brad Carrigan. I would urge you to look at her thread. 2/20

Though I didn't doubt that much of what was posted in the Telegram might be true, we were dealing with people known to play fast and loose with the truth so I waited until it was confirmed by @antihateca today. 3/20

Now, looking back at his more recent activity online, it seems there might have been some red flags to suggest that Kijiji had been planning this for a while.

On December 23, he participated in his last live feed. The pertinent part is in the clip. 4/20

Taking time to be with family would make sense given the time of year, but I remember feeling the way he spoke was odd.

Also, he hasn't seemed to care much about the family he left behind in Ontario. 5/20

On December 27, a short video of Kijiji was posted on Artur Pawlowski's Facebook profile ostensibly to wish people a Merry Christmas. 6/20

The video itself contains the usual lies, many of which he got into trouble for, that Kijiji is known for. I've editorialized within the video because I don't want those lies to go unchallenged. 7/20

When I watched it I saved the video thinking I might do something with it later, but there was something weird about it.

I mean, more so than usual. 8/20

The music seems like the closing credits to a movie. The statement about going to jail for "telling the truth" and the attacks on the legal system weren't new, but he had mostly avoided that specific rhetoric since his 18 month sentence. I noted this, then forgot about it. 9/20

So when it was being floated around yesterday that Kevin J Johnston was on the lam, I immediately remembered the video posted on December 27, a video that very well could have been recorded in advance. 10/20

Perhaps I'm overanalyzing things, but I can't help his last actions on social media seemed to both explain why he would be absent while also trying to sound a note of final triumph over his perceived enemies.

How did that work out, eh? 11/20

In any case I'm sure that this will continue to be a discussion in the dredges of social media such as Brad Carrigan's Walk For Freedom Alberta Telegram, however it does seem that there are many who have turned on Kijiji. 12/20

Carrigan however continues to defend him. 13/20

He was however taken aback when he learned that Kevin Johnston had already been arrested. 14/20

Many reacted very well as they had determined that Kijiji had stolen from them. 15/20

But Brad continues to plead with the members not to judge Kevin who he believes to be a true freedom fighter. 16/20

I suspect because he probably vouched for Kijiji, Brad Carrigan's own reputation might also be on the line so he is invested in rehabilitating Johnston, but why do mad men do what they do? 17/20

So, with all this in mind, did anyone help Kevin Johnston? Or did they know what he was planning? And if they did, do they know how much trouble they will be in as a result? 18/20

I'll conclude by posting this video that Kevin Johnston uploaded September 2018 with Rob Anders, Bill Whatcott, and members of the Soldier of Odin and Northern Guard who were providing "security" for a Pawlowski event.

Mostly because it is really funny now. 19/20

Update: Looks like tomorrow might be interesting, though I can't imagine they won't address Kijiji's arrest tonight.

Update 2: So, "The Kevin J. Johnston Show" in on with a guest host talking about the importance of resilience.

You probably won't be surprised to learn no one in the comments is especially interested in a lecture on resilience today. 1/1

It is suggested that there MIGHT be an update tonight on Kijiji is Stefanos comes on, but it will most likely be tomorrow. They then gloss over things as if nothing has happened.
