Today, a year after the Jan 6 Capitol attack, President Biden helped explain what has kept #SeditionHunters working all that time: "we are in a battle for the soul of democracy that by the grace of God.. we will win". And: "Let's step up". We did. 1/
The "battle" isn't just about the specific incidents on January 6, it's bigger - it's defending the concept of truth at all. Biden: "Tragically, there are lies - lies conceived and spread for profit and power. We must be absolutely clear about what is true, and what is a lie." 2/
The foundation of understanding Jan 6 is public video - 22,000+ individual pieces of evidence. #SeditionHunters have watched all of them. DOJ and Jan6 Committee now have private information too, but video is open to all - here are instructions. 3/

One thing that careful, detailed review of video has taught us, is that the Capitol attack was not just incited - it was organized & directed. We see the commands being executed and communicated. It's all there. Journalists must respect that truth. 4/

Yesterday WaPo published a story with 2 sources saying no organization. Jonathan Turley: "There's no grand conspiracy that the FBI found...." But Turley believes SOME conspiracies - in Nov 2020 he claimed on Fox & Friends that the election was stolen. 5/

..for bets include that 1) There is unambiguous video evidence of coordinated direction of the crowd at the Capitol, to move sides in prep for new breaches. 2) Alex Jones & Ali Alex received explicit direction to walk to the Capitol, and DOJ / J6 Committee can prove it... 8/
.... 3/ militias coordinated in advance of January 6, and DOJ will make that case in upcoming conspiracy charges. 4/ communications were made from the Captiol to planners on J6. 5/ at least one high-ranking official at DoD has been lying about the events of January 6. 9/
I stand by my inferences, in this work as in real life, with the same standard of evidence. And I'll put money down if that's what's needed. If evidence & documentation and video is not enough, let's do cash. DM me, @DevlinBarrett, & we'll find a lawyer and get it done. 10/

#SeditionHunters following the developing story of VP-elect Kamala Harris & the pipe bomb on Jan 6: here are some resources to show the discrepancies. Politico writes that Kamala Harris was in the DNC building when the bomb was found, evacuated 1:14 PM. 1/

On Jan 6, the first bomb was found in the RNC (Republican National Committee). USCP Chief Sund, in a Feb 1 letter to Congress, said the RNC bomb was found at 12:52 PM (widely reported), but the DNC one not til 1:50 PM - inconsistent with Politico. 2/

Events on Jan 6 were confusing, reporting was often scrambled, and the DNC bomb got less attention since the attack was ongoing. Sund is consistent, though, repeating the same timing in testimony to the Senate on Feb. 23: 1:50 PM for the DNC bomb. 3/

#SeditionHunters - as we near the 1-year anniversary of the Capitol attack, 2 resolutions: no more lies, & release all footage. LA Times just posted video that shows...Glen Simon (#PurplePantherPunk) of GA lied for his plea deal, hid assaults on police. (h/t @SometimesUsefu2) 1/
Simon was well-known inside the Capitol: he posted pix on FB, was reported in January, is seen in many videos. He pled guilty to Parading & Picketing (US 5104 e2G)... but didn't mention he was also one of the 1st onto the W. Plaza, fought police there. 2/

As is usual, Simon's plea deal has an escape clause, allows charges for "any crime of violence" he committed. So he'll go to prison. But J6 defense attorneys - stop wasting everyone's time, hurting your clients (judges don't like lies). Tell the truth. 3/

#SeditionHunters watching the 3-hour tunnel surveillance cam video newly released as part of US vs. Nichols (now on YouTube), here are some pointers. The start times out as about 2 PM so it covers nearly the full battle, including key gaps in coverage. 1/
If seconds matter, the start is 1:59:52 PM, timed off #TunnelCommander's exit from the tunnel at 2:52 in our sync - you can see him grab for the sides to pull himself up: 2/

#SeditionHunters: As Michael Fanone resigns from the MPD today, let's remember his insightful description of the "hybrid" Capitol attack: "This was an orchestrated event. Despite that fact that most of the people on the ground are buffoons, so what? There are 15,000 of them.” 1/
Fanone was nearly killed by buffoons. We know most people who touched him; they are self-motivated, delusional, not acting under orders. But they were brought to DC in an organized effort, and on Capitol grounds were steered and directed to pre-selected points of attack. 2/
Fanone's retirement made the Washington Post today. On Jan 6, the MPD was essential in saving the Capitol, but Fanone says “Clearly there are some members of our department who feel their oath is to Donald Trump and not to the Constitution” 3/
