No COVID testing available for days around Tulsa… except at @MuscogeeNation’s Council Oak Comprehensive Health Center!! I love that there is FINALLY a tribal health center in Tulsa! There hasn’t been a big enough deal made that it’s the 1st ever tribal-run health clinic in Tulsa
No dissing to @ihcrc. They do amazing work as an urban, non profit Indian Health Care Center. But @MuscogeeNation’s Council Oak Health Care Center is the first health facility run by a tribe in Tulsa. Otherwise, Muskogee, Ochelata or Nowata are my closest Cherokee Nation clinics.
It’s been super convenient! I got my booster there (and took my non-Native friend to get his at the same time) and was able to get same day testing! I was on a wait list, but only for like 10 minutes before they called me back with a cancellation. See ya in an hour, Mvskokes! 😄
I literally couldn’t get a drive thru test at a Walgreens or CVS until Saturday or Sunday. And didn’t want to take an at-home test from someone else if I could get into a tribal facility. Boo-yah! 🙌🏽

@OklaEsq So an article published today that sort of references toward the end what I’m talking about. The article focuses more on post-conviction/retrial, but this little snippet is at the very bottom…
@OklaEsq “Federal officials, for their part, have filed a handful of misdemeanor cases. Others may have been opened and not charged yet, a spokeswoman said.
"While the U.S. Attorney's Office is currently prioritizing felony prosecutions, this office can open cases for misdemeanor crimes…
@OklaEsq “…which are under $1,000, for non-Indian suspects victimizing Indian persons," said Lennea Montandon, spokesperson for the Tulsa U.S. Attorney's Office. "Our office refers misdemeanor thefts committed by Indian persons to the Tribes." tulsaworld.com/news/local/cri…
This is the new rallying cry from racists who are very good at manipulation, to ppl who are 1. easily scared of what they don’t know or 2. feel uneasy about what they consider a rapid change in the way we’re supposed to talk about diversity & the consequences of getting it wrong.
And TBH, if not for the pandemic (an actual problem that affects ppl), the CRT wedge issue would be raging even bigger. But COVID has sucked all the air out of the room. But as the pandemic gets under control, I think CRT is obviously THE talking point for every racist this cycle
And I’m not giving implicitly racist people a pass… or those who want to keep systemic racism in place a “safe space” here… but this article makes some valid points, that particularly, our fellow progressives on the coasts need to take to heart. nytimes.com/2021/11/01/us/…
I’m gonna lose it on @DIRECTV. 🤬 I was gone all weekend & got back to see someone hacked my account & streamed a bunch of pay per view movies, fights, etc. Directv is clueless, saying they don’t have any record when I’M LOOKING RIGHT AT IT. 😡 What’s more frustrating is…
I called @DIRECTV a week ago to report suspicious activity on my account b/c DIRECTV sent an email & text saying someone was trying to log into my account, change my email, etc. Directv said there no record of that activity, even though THEY sent the alert! (the text was legit…
b/c it was in a chain of other @ATT / @Directv texts) I changed my PW anyway. Got ANOTHER email/text about suspicious activity so I called AGAIN, and this time changed my entire email address associated with the account! And yet, someone has still managed to hack into my account.
Dear @MaggieAstor — there is no such thing as the “Cherokee of Georgia,” the “Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee” or the “Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe.” These are fake tribes, so the rest of your reporting is garbage after that. nytimes.com/2020/12/04/us/…
Why is this a big deal @MaggieAstor? B/c after our land is taken, our possessions seized, our people the victims of genocide, our sacred sites destroyed... the last thing that can be taken by white people is our heritage. You & the fact checkers at the @nytimes should be ashamed.
Guess she’ll come back to all these sh*tty tweets in 2021. In that case, email her editors. I do not know who that is, of course. 🤷🏻♀️
At 1:30 my favorite topic is on the docket! The proliferation of factory chicken production in NE Okla! Arkansas CAFOs contribute no jobs, steal our resources & pollute our water & land. Will the #OkLeg side w/ citizens? Tune in to see! ➡️ okhouse.gov/Video/Default.… cc: @righttoharm
I have to stop myself from calling these monstrosities on the agenda "farms." ONE of these is a farm. The others...? 🤔 The pic on the left is a farm w/ 80 free range laying hens. In the other pic is about 1.5 MILLION broiler birds in those barns. They are 3 miles apart. #OkLeg
See the proliferation of poultry operations in NE Okla on this map by @readfrontier. The state has NOT been notifying ppl when mega complexes are built on fence line neighbors. That's right, no notification, 100s of thousands of 🐓on fence line neighbors. cliftonadcock.carto.com/builder/b09c3a…
