4) America, in some sense, is in a constant political civil war.
5) To support the policies of the current Republican party is to believe in and support a rolling insurrection.

6) We have not always been able to come out of our problems with just education and elections. It has taken civil war, labor movements, martyrs, and sacrificial suffering.
7) The problem was never just Trump or his rhetoric. He just took language—and a lineage laid down since Nixon—and leveraged it to violence, and now he is leveraging it to political insurrection state-by-state. And over 70 million people voted for him.
The other 170 million eligible voters better stand up, come out, and vote up! If you are eligible to vote and you sit home now, you are an accessory to the extremists.
Media must stop talking about this as a normal midterm election. There is nothing normal about this moment. Media must tell the public what is truly possible if 90% of the people actually voted.
The sleeping giant in all of this—that even Democrats are not fully reaching out to—are the poor & low-income Americans, 40% in so-called battleground states, 30% in all the others.
