3)Perspective it is now in the top 5 causes of death amongst children to measure it only against elderly people dying is wrong. No medical expert has ever treated a child for wearing a mask they have however treated children for the effects of COVID (below stats on LC higher now)

5)My 9 & 11 yr old have worn an FFP2 mask in class because they want to & because they understand transmission & science the only thing it's been a barrier to is infection! Incidentally what makes people think UK children are any less capable than their peers in other countries?
6)Other countries have gone all out to protect their children via vaccination, HEPA filters & meaningful mitigations in place to prevent RESTRICTIONS! PREVENT LOCKDOWNS PREVENT ABSENCES AND DISRUPTION. you can't claim to care about kid's MH if you don't advocate for protection
7)1000 a month have been hospitalised since Sept. Yet this isn't widely known. Why? I mean if a 1000 a month were hospitalised from a vaccine there would be uproar! They wouldn't start asking about " underlying conditions" then would they?
8)My children are HAPPY,bubbly, kind, caring, funny, progressing, learning & NONE of this has changed due to wearing a mask. It's a good fit, it's comfortable, doesn't sick in on their face and noisy importantly it is protecting them whilst they wait for this GOV to PROTECT THEM
9)So Alison Hammond & the like are WRONG and kids have seen their peers absent for weeks, or struggling because things are cancelled again and again not because of a mask but because of COVID and the lack of will to do anything to prevent spread!! Have a word. Totally disgusted.
10)To add: New Zealand total deaths for entire of the pandemic stands at just 51. YET UK CHILD deaths from COVID stands at 120 ONS figures. More than double New Zealand entire death total. Don't tell me we can't do more for children what we need is for adults to stop projecting
11)their own insecurities and incapability of mask wearing onto our kids who just get on with it. There will always be the exception of severely disabled child or those with learning difficulties but the vast majority of kids are more than ok and the alternative is not worth it.
12)So when you talk about kids wearing masks to protect us.. no they're doing it for themselves for their friends and for the vulnerable children who sit alongside them. Because everyone deserves #SafeEdForAll
