The mistake a lot of people make is, they think the job of social media political engagement is the same with actual politics. It's not one and the same.
Those of us urging @PeterObi to come out, know what we are doing. 2023 is all about the survival of Nigeria.
When there is a need for the sustenance of a polity, political calculations, political might and all fails. The election swings. It happened in 1999 and it brought about @GEJonathan as Vice President. That is why some of us have been advocating for #IgboPresidency
When there is need for the sustenance of a polity like Nigeria, the emergence of candidates is not even in the hands of politicians within but global powers that be. What drives this is agitation and right now, Igbos have an upperhand and @PeterObi is the best of candidates
What brought about @MBuhari was the fear of war from the North. Right now, the biggest agitation is Biafra. The western nation's know the cost of a disintegrated Nigeria and no nation can survive two civil wars. So 2023 is in the hands of Igbos to either win or lose.
If @PeterObi likes, let him keep silent @GEJonathan will use his slot. The only painful thing is, Peter might never have this type of opportunity again and same might apply to Igbos. Now is the time to intensify agitations and posture someone for candidacy. Nuff said.

I know we have an irresponsible govt but Nigerians contribute to the problems of this country. You see these cliques and cult that we all have formed. It will never bring about development or growth. When you are stuck in a circle and you don't give people a chance...
When you are stuck in a circle and you don't give people a chance, how do you expect innovations and development TL come through? Without innovations, how can there be wealth? In macro economics, true wealth is tied to innovations but here in Nigeria, we turn everything to...
Cliques, cult and circle. There are many talented people in Nigeria who just need a platform. They can't get it because they don't belong to your clique and circle. There are people who are naturally creative but have no platform to innovate, you sent them because of cliques.

One thing missing in our democracy is tolerance for dissenting voices. I remember when I started criticizing, some brands wouldn't touch me for creative projects. It was crazy.
Sometimes, I wonder why we don't understand that govt criticism is a critical part of citizens duty.
A lot of brands that today love to associate with Afrobeats couldn't go near Fela with a long pole, but now he is dead. We all appreciate his creativity. Now, Lagos State is building a museum in his honour. Must we always appreciate creatives only when they are dead?
Look at a gift like @DavidHundeyin , living in exile because he does what is expected of him. How does that make sense? I don't pray anything happens to him but if in future it does, we will once again become vultures that celebrate the dead. Why can't we just celebrate people...

Sir, let me be honest with you. You won't learn much about politics by running with these upcoming political parties. Running for presidency in Nigeria is very very expensive and no matter the plans you have and discuss with this woman, it won't change the reality.
Our political reality presently is that anyone that wants to run for presidency and doesn't have as much as N30billion to spend without looking back, is only in the game to play. At the end of the day, you won't get up to 20,000 votes Nationwide. I am a field politician...
How do you intend to change the political realities in Nigeria presently? The one chance you had was with the passage of electoral bill. Do you know the numbers of polling units we have spread all over the country? Do you have any idea what it takes to build a structure...

Don't let anyone broke shame you, it is not an insult, it is a temporary condition that won't last.
If they call you frustrated, own it. It is not an insult, Nigeria is frustrating and only demons will claim all is well.
Be reactionary. Don't bottle up what can kill you!
Years ago, we were at a shooting location. A Ghanaian actor complained about MTN tariff and why it was so high in Nigeria. The other actor who was also Ghanaian but had lived in Nigeria said 'The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is, MTN dare not try this in Ghana...
...'The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is that MTN dare not try it in Ghana, if they try it, the poor people in Ghana will go to their office and give them hell, while the poor people in Nigeria suffer and smile'. It dawned on me why Nigerians are suffering in silence.

@GEJonathan wasn't a good student of history. One question he never asked and which loads of Nigerians never asked is, why did he appoint Jega as INEC chairman? As a person, I would have done my background check. Buhari was part of the military officer that planned counter coup..
...so was a particular Muhammadu Jega or is it Mohammed Jega. From accounts, Buhari and this person were close. He hails from Gwandu Kebbi and so also does Attahiru. The least @GEJonathan could have done was a background check on what was Attahiru's relationship with the general.
A lot of people respect Jega but I am sorry, I don't . The presidential election was the worst ever conducted because, it was rigged against the south from the beginning and how @GEJonathan never suspected still beats me. In areas where there was no conflict, Jega's INEC had ....

The story of Uganda is a sad one. From Obote to Idi Amin and back to Obote. Now we have Museveni on our hands who has become a full blown tyrant and seems to want to stop @HEBobiwine by all cost. Kyagulanyi seems popular with the young educated voters but Besigye seems popular...
...seems popular with the older population who believe that he has an idea of the political disability the country witnessed in those years of conflict between the Uganda army and UNLA and other rebel groups. Besigye isn't contesting and it will do @HEBobiwine some good...
...some good to tap into the goodwill of Besigye. @HEBobiwine needs to convince the older generation that there can be stability in the country. He also needs to prove that he is adept in international relations based on the interference of Tanzania in Uganda in the past.
