January 6th was a pretty bad day. It was a bad day for our country, it was a bad day for democracy and truth be told, no matter how much he reveled in it in the tent, on the stage, or in the dining room, it was a pretty bad day for trump. But it got worse for him on Jan 7th. 🧵👇🏻
January 6th was such a big deal that this intelligence community report seems to have fallen a bit by the wayside. This report is short, only 15 pages, so please read it. Here is the full version.
On Jan 7th, the National Intelligence Council presented this report to trump. One day after his failed insurrection predicated on an election he lost but said was stolen, he learned from his own team that even with Putin’s help undermining our electoral process he didn’t win.
I’ve been wondering where Rudy Giuliani has been lately. I imagine the special master is close to being done reviewing his electronic devices. After reading this report again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rudy wishes he were hiding in the trunk of Elon Musk’s Mars orbiting car.
US Media Organizations? US Officials? Russian Intelligence influence narratives? Andriy Derkach? Ukraine? Prominent US individuals close to trump? Wasn’t Rudy in Ukraine? Wasn’t there a documentary by OAN, too?
And wasn’t Ron Johnson involved in spreading disinformation from Ukraine about Biden’s son trying to denigrate Biden’s candidacy? The exact things this report alleges? Perhaps someone running against Ron Johnson or the Wisconsin constituents should read about that here. 👇🏻
trump was spreading disinformation about mail in voting just like Putin to undermine our faith in elections and on Jan 7th our Intel community told him they knew. He more than likely didn’t listen and probably stopped reading when they referred to him as ‘former president’.(ouch)
On the call with Judge Kelly, there is discussion about defendants in jail dealing with Covid restrictions not being able to review evidence against them. People could just get vaccinated, wear masks and wash their hands and not commit crimes. Have they tried that?
Also Nordean has been in solitary confinement for 30 days and his attorney doesn’t know why. No matter what we think of these defendants, they deserve adequate representation because we are a country of laws. It’s because he failed on Jan 6 he’s still afforded those rights, btw.
Bigg’s lawyer is arguing that the DC jail is a place where no one can adequately prepare for trial no matter the reason they are there. He says it is a very unhappy place. Really? Jail isn’t a pleasant experience? Sounds like a ‘finding out’ situation.
I appreciate the @January6thCmte and the massive amount of work they have done thus far, however that doesn’t preclude me from having questions for them. By this point, they should have subpoenas and criminal referrals drafted for everyone they want to talk to ready to go. 🧵👇🏻
They asked for cooperation from Bannon who told them to go shit in their hat. They rightfully referred him to the DOJ who waited a month before before deciding to indict him. This would be fine if the committee had begun 10 months before they did, but they were late there too.
Once Mark Meadows was identified as someone the committee needed to speak with, they allowed him to play them. He cooperated, then he didn’t, then maybe he would, then finally he too, told them to go screw. Now he is on indictment watch after a late criminal referral.
Sure Jim Jordan confirming he isn’t going to cooperate with the @January6thCmte (we knew he wouldn’t), evokes Benghazi, but don’t fall for the trap. Keep the focus on Jordan. Besides the provably false statements in his letter (Pelosi/McCarthy negotiation) there is more to see.👇🏻
First, let’s remember who is has just decided to *not* cooperate with the most important investigation of the biggest crime in the history of this nation. 🗣Jordan is the RANKING MEMBER OF THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
Do you remember that Reuters article? The one where they say the FBI has ‘scant evidence’? If you ever wondered why that article was written, it was so congressmen could use is at as a defense. Check the footnotes, Jim Jordan has just used it as a defense.
If you aren’t following local reporting in and around Lancaster PA, it’s a good time to start paying attention. Prior to January 6th, there was a meeting in Quarryville PA where a power point was shown to Oathkeepers relative to communications. Some of this is so familiar. 🧵👇🏻
If you read the PowerPoint above, you may have noticed a slide with SHTF on it. If not, it’s here. It looks boilerplate as opposed to something done custom. Is SHTF a normal thing in the comms community? That’s a serious question because on January 6th, that channel was used.
During the Jan 6th Insurrection, at the end of the broadcast on Zello Stop the Steal J6 chat, Watchdog says he is ‘going to a policy discussion on the SHTF Intel channel’. This sentence tells us a lot. ‘Policy’ ‘Discussion’. These are other words for planning with coconspirators.
I’m just an ordinary Joe. I never thought I’d be sitting here reading transcripts trying to understand what it was that put our democracy in such peril. @JoeBiden seems like an ordinary Joe who also finds himself trying to understand.
Is Joe Oltmann an ordinary Joe? A wee🧵👇🏻
This thread attempts to follow what has been laid out before us in the Eric Coomer v trump et al, defamation lawsuit and what, if anything, it may be able to tell us about January 6th. Here are the documents in that case. *Full Link👇🏻 Let’s level set. courts.state.co.us/Courts/County/…
I’ll be using these documents and others showing portions as we go along. The link👆🏻is for reference. I attempt to place them in a timeline of sorts and add context as appropriate. We need to see these activities in their totality, not just within the confines of the Coomer case.
