— While the Muslims marched towards Mecca, the Prophet had ordered 'Abbas RA to take Abu Sufyan RA and his friends to a spot from where they could easily view the Muslim army, its behaviour and bearing. Abbas RA did so and from a vantage-point Abu Sufyan RA &his friends watched..
the Arab tribes go past on whose power the Meccans had banked all these years for their plots against Islam. They marched that day not as soldiers of disbelief but as soldiers of belief. They raised now the slogans of Islam, not the slogans of their pagan days.
— They marched in formation, not to put an end to the Prophet's life, but to lay down their lives to save his not to shed his blood, but their own for his sake. Their ambition that day was not to resist the Prophet's PBUH msg & save the superficial solidarity of their own people.
— It was to carry to all parts of the world the very Message they had so far resisted. It was to establish the unity and solidarity of man. Column after column marched past until the Ashja' tribe came in Abu Sufyan's RA view.
— Their devotion to Islam and their self sacrificing zeal could be seen in their faces, and heard in their slogans.
"Who can they be?" asked Abu Sufyan, "They are the Ashja' tribe."
Abu Sufyan looked astonished and said, "In all Arabia, no one bore greater enmity to Muhammad."
— We owe it to the grace of God. He changed the hearts of the enemy of Islam as soon as He deemed fit, said 'Abbas RA.
Last of all came the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), surrounded by the columns of Anşâr and Muhajirin.
— They must have been about two thousand strong, dressed in suits of armour. The valiant 'Umar Radhiallahu Anhu directed their marching. The sight proved the most impressive of all. The devotion of these Muslims, their determination and their zeal seemed overflowing.
— When Abu Sufyan's eyes fell on them, he was completely overpowered.
"Who can they be?" he asked.
"They are the Anṣār RA and the Muhājirīn surrounding the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam," replied 'Abbas RA.
— "No power on earth could resist this army," said Abu Sufyan RA, and then, addressing ‘Abbās RA more specifically, "Abbas RA, your nephew has become the most powerful king in the world."
"Abu Sufyan, He is no king; he is a Prophet PBUH, a Messenger of God," replied Abbas RA.
— As the Muslim army marched past Abu Sufyan RA, the commander of the Anşar, Sa'd bin Ubadara happened to eye Abu Sufyan RA and could not resist saying that God that day had made it lawful for them to enter Mecca by force and that the Quraish would be humiliated.
— Turning to Abu Sufyan RA, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "What Sa'd RA has said is quite wrong. It is not the day of slaughter. It is the day of forgiveness. The Quraish and the Ka'ba will be honoured by God." #فتح_مکہ
— Fatah-e-Makkah was the most peaceful conquest in human history led by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The displaced Muslims (in Makkah) returned home, and Islam went back to continue spreading, at that place where it was first revealed.
— With the emergence of Fath Makkah, Kaaba was rededicated to what it was first built for; worship only Allah. All the idols inside the Ka'ba were removed and demolished.
— Through Fath Makkah, the Islamic state was strengthened, and all those who ganged up to displace Islam and Muslims had to rethink, and many of them, eventually converted to Islam.

— After the Partition of India, during October–November 1947 in the Jammu region of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, thousands of Muslims were massacred and others driven away to West Punjab.
— The kīllings were carried out by terrœrists Hīndus and Sikh militænts, aided and abetted by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh. Terrœrists of the RSS played a key role in planning and executing the genœcide.
— What was the death toll in the killing fields of Jammu? There are no official figures, so one has to go by reports in the British press of that period. Horace Alexander’s article on 16 January 1948 in The Spectator is much quoted; he put the number killed at 200,000.

— Gulnar Khanum, was 16-year-old when India forcefully annexed the then Independent princely state of Hyderabad in September 1948. All the men in her house were massacred by the Indian army.
— "I can never forget that September, it was thursday when the military entered the village. Many fled but we thought staying home can be safer. But the military men barged into our house, dragged all men in the family by their hair and aligned them only to shoot on their head.
— The sound of those four gunshots can never be forgotten. All the men were dead. The military entered with tanks firing in all directions, killing men, burning shops, setting homes on fire, followed by goons raping women, looting houses, and stabbing those running for life.
1) Another year has gone by, and Junaid’s family is marking the 4th anniversary of the day when their beloved child was brutally killed. Another year, they continue to wait for justice. Each year, the voices who storm social media with..
hashtags #notinmyname, and #JusticeForJunaid seems to be getting lesser, as the numbers of right-wing hate mongers grows. Junaid, a teenager who was studying to be an Imam, was beaten, allegedly stabbed and thrown off the Delhi Mathura train.
2) He and his two brothers were returning home after Eid shopping in the big city. Junaid was killed and his brothers were seriously injured in the assault that was clearly communal, with vile abuse being flung at the boys and their beards being pulled.
Gandhi admired Hindutva icon #Savarkar as ‘lover of truth’, addressed him as bhai!
1) As one looks back at the history of VD Savarkar on his 138th birth anniversary, it is important to note that he was not at loggerheads with Mahatma Gandhi, as the common perception holds.
Both of them enjoyed such a good rapport that Gandhi referred to him as “bhai".
2) Gandhi addressed Savarkar as “bhai” in a letter he wrote from Sevagram, Maha, on 22 March 1945 (Collected Works of Gandhi, e-book, Publication Division, GOI, Volume 86, Page 86)! Here's the text:
3) It all started with the efforts to take the Savarkar brothers out of the Cellular Jail in the Andamans. Gandhi was a vocal votary of getting both the Savarkar brothers released immediately. He was all praise for their sacrifice and spirit of nationalism.
