I took my girls out to work today. We hadn't been out in days. I broke the work cart and had to fix it. Regular readers know the longer story. Been a rough winter.
Girls were grouchy. Clara was nervous. Clara needs to cool her jets a little. And... I'm broken. Think different.

2. I have a project of pruning a lane for farm tours by donkey cart, which shows what I think are pretty parts of the property. Fairly wild, but attractive to my eye.
So if I don't have something else we need to do, there is always pruning the lane.

3. spreader first. It was good and full, and I broke it too, the day I broke the work cart.
Pobody's nerfect.
But it works, it's just hard to hitch and unhitch.
So we did that, and I was going to drive them down to the machine shed to drop off the spreader, and EEK! HUMAN!

4. Clara's really got to knock this crap off. I mean, every human she's ever met has petted her, and most of them have given her goodies. This is bullshit.

So... We got out to the pond dam where I was working, and the girls were pretty rattled. We cut and hauled one load of branches, cut down a 2" thorn tree crowding a young oak, hauled it...
Went back up for water...

6. Went back to the pond dam, and by this time the girls were pretty rattled and pretty grouchy, so I tied them to a tree there, and I spent a long time just petting, talking, petting ears, foreheads, topknots, necks... Just spent some time. Told them I know I'm off balance.
7. They settled down real well. We hauled that last load, and then went around the long way to go home.

I got them half unhitched from the cart and Clara decided to walk off.
I just stood there and watched her. Informed her that this couldn't possibly work.

8. She made it about ten feet and ran out of steam. I let her commit to being done, went and hitched her harness back to the cart, and we backed it back into its parking place.
This time she stood.
And I observed that the saw was missing.

9. I finished up unharnessing the girls and put them up, gave everyone a round of goodies, and went and got Bandit's walk leash.
That means he's getting off the home 10, and he's *always* up for that.
His electric collar keeps him home, but the choke chain means the electric off.

10. Bandit and I found the saw, he was a happy lad, I was a happy lad, the girls were happy. Good day.
